Thread: More Cover Art | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
James Bama did a whole lot of covers for Louis L'Amour westerns in paperback and a bunch of the Doc Savaga paperpacks, as well as a slew of others, not to mention the fact that he has done extremely well in the "WELL" department, i.e., well known, well respected, well received, etc., and is a true western scene painter of great renown. MAN, that guy could (can?) really put the paint to the paper/canvas/wood/surface. Seems like his work might easily be simulated/emulated/recalled in a program like Poser 3,4, but probably not duplicated too well by any other than himself. Yeah, you could say I like him. AARoberts, those covers bring back memories. Even mention of the ACE covers conjures up memories of Andre Norton, Richard S. Prather, Murray Leinster, Poul Anderson, EARLY paperback editions of Arthur C. Clark (i.e., Childhood's End), Asimov (Foundation sreies?), Clifford D. Simak and the old world destroyer/saver himself, Edmond D. Hamilton. MAN, you didn't want to live on a planet that guy wrote about! Ha! Guess I'm giving away decades here. Time to stop rambling. Thread: WTH???? Help! Something's screwy.... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Taran, I have no idea at all what caused that problem. Myself I've had to reinstall Poser 4 on more than one occasion for other still unexplained abnormalities and usually prevailed, though usually with a spot of difficulty before success. A lot of people made replies, some of which I hope may help you, but I want to comment on that obscured face thingy. In 1991 I had a jaw operation to repair TMJ (temporomandibular joint) malalignment. I had to sign a release so they could video tape the operation for training purposes. About six years later while walking in the hallway of the same hospital, two residents coming towards me suddenly did double takes, looked at each other, then eyeballed me peripherally as they walked by. After assuring that my fly wasn't open, I realized these two guys must have (just?) seen that video. What does this have to do with your problem? Not a whole lot, I guess. Good luck. Guess I could be glad I didn't have a johnsonectomy.
Thread: Oasis in the sky (yes Virginia, there is nudity in the picture) };] | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Totally terrific! And, yes, different! Thankfully different! Of course, one could even ask, "If she can fly, why does she even have feet?" Also, I think you're right about the Dean Brothers and it fits that they own Paper Tiger. Yes, Virginia, appropriate things do sometimes happen. It can be said, too, that knowing this kind of stuff dates oneself. This picture is very beautiful, I think. The whole concept.

Annette Funnicello, one of the ORIGINAL Mousketeers, you know, The Mickey Mouse Club. Still doesn't ring a bell? Talk to your parents or go to a library and look under "History." Ha Ha. Just kidding. Thanks very much for sharing this work, BTW. I think it will be very informative and revealing.
Thread: AMELIA - New Character for Multipla 2.0 (works in process) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think she has a lot of character, surely a result of thoughtfulness in your design, helped along considerably by that very obvious dermatological imperfection, otherwise known as a mole. She reminds me just a bit of the actress Eileen Davidson who, for the uninitiated, is again playing the role of Ashley Abbott on The Young and The Restless (my wife's favorite soap opera). The skin might be just a bit too "rough" but it sure is going in the right direction. Larry (there is no "a" in definitely) F
