Hmmm, you would have control of what I would be doing wouldn't you. Upon further reflection maybe that's not such a good idea. Thanks Pog...

Thread: Random thought....... | Forum: Bryce
What I find frightening, since starting 3D modeling only 3 weeks ago I find myself looking at the world differently. "Hey, that lamp post would be cool to model in Bryce." "How would I go about modeling a coil of rope?" "You know the way the light is reflecting off that window looks odd. If I did that in Bryce, people would comment on how wrong it is. But yet here it is in real life." I'm seeing meshes everywhere. Is this happening to anyone else. Some scenes that you guys make are so beautiful, I think to myself "I'd rather be there". How much do you think DAZ would charge me for making a hyper acurate Poser figure of me, and then I could pay all you guys to put me in your scenes. ;-)

I like both pics. The Second one resembles normal operation, and the Second one looks like its about to overload.

OK, you guys have a better eye than me. However, surely the models of the cottages weren't done in Bryce. They must've been made in something else like (dare I say it) Wings 3D? Upon closer inspection, I do have to comment on the unrealistic looking trees. (I hate critisizing something I couldn't even approach at accomplishing).

Thread: Bryce Exporting | Forum: Bryce
I seem to be one step behind. Every time I need an answer to a question I have, someone else posts the very question a few hours before. I guess I'm not working in Bryce fast enough. :- Incidentally, Rochr's gallery was the first I ever visited. Man, was I ever discouraged. But I soon learned that he is one of the best. So could someone point me to a gallery that's kinda normal in hopes to aspire to that?

Thread: major gallery gripe | Forum: Bryce
Tabbed browsing's great. I just open tabs of galleries 1-10, then go through each gallery and open tabs of every pic I like. Then go off a do something else for about 15 minutes. And when I return, I just skim through the tabs likety-split. Then again I do this from the office which has a T1 line. I've got dial up at home too. I only use it for email. :-

I've always wanted to know what "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth" means. So I just looked it up. It goes back to 18C, when determining the age of a horse was done by looking at its teeth. Over time a horse's gums recede and the teeth look longer. Hence the expression "Long in the the tooth" meaning age. At any rate, if someone gave you a free horse, it would be insulting to look into the mouth of the horse to see if were old. After, its a free horse. What difference does it make if its old. We should modernize this expression to something like "Don't look at the guage". If a relative gave you a free car, don't complain that the tank is empty.

Thread: A New Freebie, but you have to work for it. Lotsa fun | Forum: Bryce
#4 is from T2, Linda Hamilton asks how many cops are outside the Hyperdyne building and her son answers "All of'em I think." To my knowledge Farrah Fawcet was only one Sci Fi along with Kirk Douglas called (hold on lemme check imdb.com) Oh yeah, Saturn 3. It was an Alien rip-off, where the baddie was a robot. Could that be #1? You should've made it a little easier. I find the lines you chose may come from popular Sci Fi, but aren't classic lines. For example "Get your paws off me you damn dirty ape!" or "Eyes, I only do eyes!" or "You know the difference between you and me is... I make this look good." These are classical. But then again, just like "Who wants to be a Millionaire" you either know or you don't.

I thought I was pretty good at sci fi, but the only one I knew was 4. You better post the answers after its over, or I'll see to it that you never post in this town again. ;-)

I for one am a free stuff downloader, and I'd like to to express my sincerest gratitude to all you frees stuff makers. I have had some problems with using some free stuff, but I generally chalk that up to my own ignorance and NOT on any problem with the downloaded file. Especially, when you look and notice that item X has had 1,234 downloads. I'm learning more and more everyday about the various file formats, and being on a Mac in a sea of PC users, I have learned great patience. I thank you all once again, and would gladly shine your shoes, do your dishes or anything else you deem me worthy of if you continue making free stuff and writing tutorials. Bless you all... Humbly yours, Curtis :-|

Thread: Importing Poser Meshes into Bryce 5 | Forum: Bryce
Attached Link: http://www.robinwood.com/Catalog/Technical/PoserTuts/PoserPages/PoserToBryce.html
Jeez, I just started using Bryce about 2 weeks ago, and I haven't used Poser until last Thursday and I already successfully imported a custom made Poser figure I made (clothing and all, no hair though) into my Bryce scene. I found it relatively easy, and I'm no genius. I just browsed around here, asked a few questions and did step by step instructions. I don't want to sound patronizing but it sounds like you're trying to drive a F1 car in the Grand Prix by saying "I'm not interested in learning how to drive, I just want to race". I'm puzzled. I takes time and patience to do the simplest stuff and Poser and Bryce are moronically easy compared to something like Alias Wavefront's Maya. Anyway, if at any time you're ready to import a Poser figure into Bryce here's the tutorial I used... (above)
