Thread: Where Are The TexMex Cowboy Characters? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
We've looked at the M3 "Indian" faces and they seem to be OK, just only for M3. Ah, well...you can't have everything...where would you find the hard drive big enough to store it? ;-}
Thread: Finally found a solution to my ever growing runtime folder.... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've got a stack of older computers in the "work" room that have everything from 512MB to 10Mb HD's that I'm trying to con, er, briber, er, talk some bright kid from the computer science department at the University here into making into a server/storage farm for me. I've got this thing about tossing out anything that I can scavenge into something else. Now if I could just use those Oh So Powerful 4Mb RAM chips I paid almost a weeks pay for a few years ago in something... I think the tip about DVD's for storage is a great idea. I have to get my Presario 2100 laptop to the shop so I can get the DVD reset....someone in the household clicked on the regions button until the DVD quit working and Compaq wants me to pay them to reset it...and I guess at that time I'll purchase the software to burn DVD's. As always, great info here in the forum!

Very cool! Personally I think that the ethno-centricity of most 3D work detracts from the beauty of our wonderful and vastly diverse world. I'm waiting with anticipation for some modeler to finally come up with an accurate Native American with correct skin tones and the cranial bone structure and eye folds. The "Mexican" figures will be just as diverse as the Native American ones. Think of the wide range of bone and facial structures that flow in and around Mexico, Central, and South America! How beautiful!!

Thread: Ever add up what you've spent here? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
My lovely wife says that, off the top of her head, we've spent around $325 at DAZ, $15.00 here for copies of Renderosity magazine through Pay Pal that I never recieved (pay pal says they sent the money to 'rosity, 'rosity says they never got paid, upshot is that I got screwed out of $15 and/or a magazine) and around $225 for Poser 4 AND Poser 5 because I bought them through the campus bookstore. Total: $565. We use the free stuff because we don't have a solid income base to purchase goodies from. But...if we did....hehehehehehe.....

I'm interested in this thread because I'm working towards Native American figures and Asian facial features are closer than anything available in Poser so far. Good luck, and I'll check back to see how this goes. I'd love a good set of N.A. faces for M2/V2 that were free!
Thread: better textures for the P5 clothes? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I tried using the Fantasy Room and had problems with getting props and characters to postion the way I wanted. I agree with you, there's a gold mine of free goodies on the P5 disks...it just needs to be dragged out from under the dank, moss covered rock where it's being stored and forced into the glaring sunlight of the public arena. Or is that the average politician? I can never remember which is which. But the P5 stuff needs better development. Perhaps if some of the developers who are putting so much effort into V3 and M3 could use a little of that talent on Judy and Don?

OMG...the downloads just for Judy come to more than 80MB! Tha's gona leave a bruse on any dialup connection, ya becha! Just the texture files alone for the 4 P5 characters are around 150MB. I'm going to have to do those at the university and burn them to CD so I can take them home and hope I have enough space on the hard drive.

Seems that they just can't find a reliable ISP or hosting service. Too bad, really...I can almost afford them and wanted to subscribe.
Thread: Wolf morphs for Mil. Dog? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
NOT A WOLF...er, watching too much Dave the Barbarian again...er, that's not a wolf...it's a dog in wolf-ish bad costuming. Muzzle, head, body confirmation are all wrong.
