It seems to me that a "pure" fractal according to some people's definitions would be nothing more than a black & white line drawing. No color, no depth, no texture and definitely not "art". Stan

Do you mean out-of-balance colorwise or size? The free program called Irfanview can take any size/type image and create a thumb to any size or compression, besides being able to add sharpening.

Flaming Pear (do a google search) has many filters (several free) that modify the structure/coloring etc. of your basic fractal images. They have their own tutorials with the product. Although a few fractal programs have their own filters and such to manipulate the image, sometimes it can be profitable (artistically speaking) to employ an off-base filter. The results should still be considered 'fractal', as the image is fractally derived. The best tutorials are the ones you discover yourself. ;) Stan

Hey, Linda Those banners have kept me from giving my gallery's URL to many of my friends and relatives. Although I won't abandon Renderosity for the sharing, I think I may add 3dcommune.com to my uploads. I've found that site has many advantages over Renderosity and I've yet to see any blatantly offensive ads there. I recommend you ...and anyone else to check it out and to comment on what you think. FractalVizion (FV) by Terry Gintz is one of the best free programs that features automatically generated fractals of many types. Julias, quats, IFS, Orbitals etc. You can DL from the eclectasy.com site.- 1
