Thread: Hi gang, I was wondering any you here from Ottawa ON, Canada? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well there certainly enough people from Canada here. I am sure there even more as I know Carol one of my old testing partners is Canadian to :) Sadly I must admit I had a hidden ajenda... I am a film student at CU and I was trying to assees if I ever did an independant film if there would be Poser artist located locally I may be able to capitalize off of. There is nothing in the planning just thought I would see what the water was like. If I ever do one it will be a very short piece with a quick turn around that will very low budget. Cool to here from you all thanks for your replies. Deimos

HI, Sorry about the delay in the testing of your products. I test the lightwave 5 products and I had to take over a week off as my mother was very ill and was in the hospital for over a week. I was busy visiting with her, trying to do her housework, and being the contact person for the family. It was far more taxing on my time than I had imagined. I have also been experiencing a lot of problems with ISP which hasn't allowed me to check in or go online to do as much work as I would like. My apologies for any inconvenience. Thanks, Martin / Deimos.

However she is busy between Working on The Realm, her Job, and University.

Thread: Animation Gallery Good Idea or Poor Idea? | Forum: Animation
Thanks for your responce. I think its a good Idea, but there are some diffiuclties to over come Bandwidth and Storage, which my providor has told me should not be a problem. Gettering the ritghts to display and the animations and the animations, a lot of admin work, and a lot webdesign and such. The largest problem I forsee is finding the time to do it. But I will keep you posted on my progress. Thanks for the comment doozy. I will search through the threads and see what I can learn from the others who have tried this before me. It may be premature for a site like this; in that it is possible not enough people have high speed connections yet. Thanks every one for your responces.
Thread: Ready to make a big $$ investment in hardware for animations, any suggestions? | Forum: Animation
Well remember Celron and equivlant, a low chache will kill your rendering from what I understand. Consider your mother board as well. As for the Dual CPU. Test show have shown that a dual CPU system can ofter out perfom a one cpu of triple MHZ. Thus 2 233 probably would do better than 1 800mhz cpu. The problem isn't so much the price as that Poser doesn't take advantage of a dual CPU system any ways from what I understand. Maybe a cheaper way is to look for lower poly count products. Mike and Vicky are pretty high from what I undstand put some hair and cloths wow vary high oply count already. It may be worth to make your own characters replacing bodyparts with clothing parts. 8 Lights is a lot as well. The props for the furniture to may be high poly. Taking the normals out might help make it render quicker. If you don't have a celron or equivlant I think your options are limited. Have a rendering computer and a work computer. Or rely on 3D and animation skills to lower the file size of your projects. I hope this helps.
