This is Poser 6 --- it works fine if I just make a png movie file, but does this weird outline thing if I try to use the image sequence option -- both png and tiff... 

Rendering out as a png did the trick... Many thanks!!!

Digimation offers its Komodo as an .obj Could this be imported and still maintain its posability or would it just be a rigid prop???

Thanks for all the assist -- The Ross dragon is not too realistic, but maybe with some better textures it would work... after visiting the Digimation site I have to ask... why are those models so expensive??? I mean some are up to $2500... I don't get it. Some are completely undetailed and unrealistic, but they're fetching $300 and up. I'm obviously missing something...

Are these usable in Poser -- sometimes I can get things into Poser but they come as immobile props with no posing ability. Also, would you have a link for digimation???

DAZ not only has a Great White, but they have a very good texture for it as an additional purchase. I have both the shark and the more realistic texture and have done some animations with it and it's very lifelike. If you've only looked at the shark, you should definitley check out the additional textures.

Here's how this ended. The author created a new bump jpeg that was double the dpi (went from 72dpi to 150dpi), but reduced the dimensions by 1/ 2 and that did the trick... really. Now if I can just figure out why the 3DS "science lab" model I bought crashes everytime I try to open it I could die happy. That particular author has failed to respond to any of my emails. The Scoutship guy was very anxious to help and was a very pleasant fellow. Thanks to all here. Fred Olen Ray

I'm using the mac converter that I always use. The author sent me a smaller sized bump map so we'll see how that works. FRED

Thanks for all the info. I'm using Poser 4 on a Mac G4 dual processor OS 9.2.2 with a high memory allottment (400 mb). The files are from a model called Scout Ship and came as jpeg files and converted to the green-style bump maps which I applied by hand thru the "materials" interface. I'm going to try a reduced file size when I get into work and see if that helps. FRED

It's the EARTH VS THE FLYING SAUCERS model in the Renderosity maketplace -- there doesn't appear to be a poser version. :-( Fred

So do you need Bryce in order to export it as an .obj?
