and if every merchant were privy to what sells best, wouldn't more people make items in that category, thus reducing sales in that category? just a thought...
Thread: New Freeeeeeebies! ;) | Forum: Bryce
Hey Ray! how ya doin? nah, I stopped using msn a while back. too much hastle to run too many messangers at once ;) thanks pakled! lol Look for new ones to be added in the next few weeks, am about to start on a redesign of the freebies page to have room to add more to it, but I'm going to have to lose the roll-over window to make it work. (I'm gonna miss my roll overs.. lol, ah well, the gallery still has em, even tho that hasn't been updated in forever.. lol)

Everyone loves contests, it brings people together! It also gives people a chance to improve their abilities, and try new things. How can this be bad? Contests shouldn't be hard to set up..It's for fun right? Have I mentioned 3dCommune loves contests? Have you checked out the big ones going on now? with awesome prizes too! It's a win/win situation ;) JenCThread: Back from the dead, with a project update...need opinions please | Forum: Bryce
thanks everyone, i tried out the coolpage webpage maker, and was experimenting... for the life of me i can't figure out why some can see and some can't... it might be the frames, it might be the no hotlinking thing...maybe some pc firewall setups try to use it as hotlinks instead of direct links? i'm not sure.. I'll keep workin on it... oh and yes, the 404 error for the psp gallery i know about, i haven't had time to add it yet, and i need to redo the 404 itself so it links back to the plain index, not the full index with frames. And Zhann, i can put in a thing like at 3d commune so that when each individual picture is clicked it goes back one screen, but to do that i think i'd end up having to make a page for each one, right now it just links to the picture itself on the server. slips back off to do some redesigning and thought Jen

just playing devils advocate here, but when a thread is moved, it just sorta disappears from the original forum, maybe, since he didn't see this forum to ask the question in, he won't find it to find the answer either?

Thread: STOP LEAVING! | Forum: Bryce
(grrrr i know i hit post, but it didn't post...will do my best to write that novel again)(and now the third time, guess i take too long to write or the post is too long...) Yes, as AS stated, and as i said in my thoughts thread, I am still around, mostly in lurk mode, posting only when i feel compelled to, or need to. And stumbling on this thread and reading it, this is one of those times. I said in my post that the reasons for leaving, well, didn't matter anymore...but i suppose, seeing another thread that says the world revolves around the HOT 20, I feel i need to clarify what "doesn't matter". I did NOT leave for issues with the HOT 20, nor did Striving.... 95% of the deciding factor of my departure/break had nothing to do with the Bryce forum, galleries, or the hot 20. As a growing atrist and a struggling merchant, I've extended into the community forum to keep up on site stuff, the merchant forum, to keep up on store stuff, and the product showcase to list the stuff in my store and a sale. I even posted a "i need help" kinda thing in the wings forum. I log on each day to check on sales, banners, page views, as well as for any IM's that someone may send. My major malfunction, however, goes much deeper than the hot 20, or gallery issues... There were many many reasons... At the top of the list, FRUSTRATION!!! At the end of the day, when all is said and done and we log off renderosity, if we are more tired, more frustrated, more upset then when we came here, it is time to go..take a break, leave, whatever. Not one of us logs on in the morning and says "gee i feel too happy today, lemme go online so i can get frustrated again" All of us, whether we admit it or not, are a bunch of emotional, moody SOB's...and that is GREAT! THAT is where the talent, creativity and inspiration comes from to create magnificent and moving pieces of art. But in the quest to express that moody emotional side, somtimes people forget that just like each of us, others too have those same traits...and sometimes, people just don't know when enough is enough....and people get hurt. I know it's easy to just skip the bad threads, but i am curious by nature, i have to know everything (lol hubby says that's why i test so high on all those online tests and stuff) and to see people bashing the hard working staff, the members here, and the site again and again....well, sometimes i just wonder.... I also have many MAJOR projects i am working on like rescripting a whole 4000 line iptscrae .pat file for a palace chat as well as building the whole 350 room palace City in bryce for a unified 3d view, including 2d maps, and a corresponding navigational web site that will eventually be flash incorperated right into the palace... Add on top of that 2 young needy kids, a hubby, a house, medical problems and an upcoming surgery, and suddenly, i have no desire to subject myself daily to the continuing frustrations that sometimes abound in forums here. I think of you guys as my family, here in this forum, and i thank each one of you who cared enough to send a little note to me, in the thread, or in an IM to let me know that i will be missed, and was appreciated. THAT is what makes this place a family... As i said above, 95% of why i left, or am taking a break, however you like to look at it, has nothing to do with bryce, or the family here, so please, don't take it personally...these are my reasons, and mine alone... I will be around, as i said, checking IM's, reading a few posts here and there, and checking on my stuff... Jen

Thread: If I remeber correctly 3 uploads were the limit allowed to all members... | Forum: Community Center
The people who are having problems with the 1/day are the ones, like the threads state, who do sequential things...photographers, story writers, and perhaps those who save up a whole months worth, or two, of renders and post them all at once. I personally LOVE the idea of not having my work buried in sometimes as little as 2 or 3 hours. Those of us who are establishing ourselves, working hard to produce quality images, know when to post a picture, and when it's too much of a POS to bother. And i hated seeing all those gorgeous images by the greats being buried in no time. Perhaps, at some point in time, the 1 upload a day could be refigured for 7/week total in the sequential type galleries. I know this is pinpointing and grouping one gallery over another, which has a huge potential for a riot as is. Then there is always the thought of allowing the members decide in their profile/sign up if they would like their 365 freely posted images counted at 1 per day, or as 7 per week, and let them choose for themselves. When the 7 is done, it's done. Just a few thoughts... Jen

It's going, going, and will be Gone on 2-28-04! To celebrate, I've placed it on SALE for $5.00!Thread: Old Style Grandfather Clock now in my Store! | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
Thanks for the interest and trying them out Dizzie. Making them Poser compatible is definately one of the things I hope to be able to do, but as of now, I don't have poser, and have no clue on how to begin without it. I'm sure there's a way to add textures to them in poser, they won't be the ones shown, but maybe it has similar ones. I'll do some reading and find out what it will take to convert them, and how hard it will be without actually having Poser. Jen

Another item, soon to be deleted, available for a limited time! Have it on your wishlist? Better hurry! This classic style table is made for Bryce 5 and comes pretextured! AND has 4 other mats also included to get that classic look you need. It is in .obp format and textures are in .mat. Use it as a center piece, resize it and use it as a magazine rack, perhaps a stylish flower center. It's going...going....soon to be gone! This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience.
