LuxRender question - anyone here familiar with the development cycles over there?  I'm curious about how long they take to update.  I am interested in future GPU rendering capabilities... is there an eta? How about a stab in the dark? lol

You may assume others don't already know about some measures to reduce piracy you mention, but may I suggest you look up what playing "devil's advocate" means and how it differs from being an actual "advocate." 

Secondly, the piece by hiperia3d I quoted and my own point were about how tolerance of piracy helps a lot of new people on the scene think "it's ok" and "everybody's doing it" and that doesn't help us developers at all. And more to the point (my point) people in position to be role models such as community leaders ideally would NOT take this tolerant stance especially in public, just IMO.

Just my opinion but it would have been nice to see a titled Forum Coordinator have ZERO TOLERANCE for warez, not playing devil's advocate. :/ 

I'm not suggesting to change site rules or whatever, just an observation and my opinion.

Interesting hypothetical from the original post... what will Poser users, who currently use DAZ content*, do if they can't/won't use DS and/or DAZ content anymore.  Hmm, most 3d assets are importable and useable in most 3d apps already.  Anyway, it was an interesting question  ;)

Excuse my coat-tail question in this thread, I have a couple of simple questions that don't warrant their own thread :)
Is the p8 joint editor any different from pp2010?
Is the p8 setup room any different from pp2010?

Iam using pp2010 and the new visual feedback of vertex weights for joint spheres is nice :) ds rigging tools has that, now poser does too, natively (I saw from years ago some people were managing to get it using scripts but I didn't bother with it.)   Just wish there was a way to turn it off so I can see the mesh without all the dots again and without having to close the joint editor to do it.
