Here's one: http://colladablender.illusoft.com/cms/ It hasn't been updated in a while, though, which is not very promising...
Thread: 2.49b stable or 2.55Beta? | Forum: Blender
I'd actually say the opposite, if you're just starting to learn. I've found 2.5x quite different from earlier versions, and I think it's probably easier to learn if you don't have any old habits to break. Plus the interface redesign is intended to be more user friendly.
Benny makes a good point about the tutorials, though. They can in fact run side by side, so you could get both and use the old version to help you translate tutorials as you go...
Thread: DAZ FBX plugin, Blender Import FBX script and animation rendering? | Forum: Blender
I'm not sure how fbx works, you might try a very simple animation and see if it comes through into the blender timeline. If that doesn't work, maybe the Collada format will?

Hi, zeusinator,
In this forum posts are generally in English, so I'm not sure how many replies you'll get in German. I'd recommend posting either in English or in German plus a translation to English (automatic translators like google translate can help you out there). We also have a German language forum http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showforum.php?forum_id=12479.

Yes, for me this has always been what's wrong when blender has been unable to find python. It does seem like it shouldn't be necessary, though.

Do you have python in your environment variables?Thread: Setting up blender for dual monitors? | Forum: Blender
I've actually had a lot of trouble getting blender to display at all in a secondary monitor, myself; it wouldn't update the display ever on the second screen but would update the screen on the main monitor, which is pretty funny looking when you've got the same window crossing the boundary.
Thread: Newbie to newbie modeling tips-- Hiding part of the mesh; controlling the modeli | Forum: Blender
#2 was new to me, I generally model in "solid" rather than shaded mode. Hiding bits of a mesh is definitely handy for getting stuff out of the way and freeing up memory if your mesh is getting a little too huge. If you're not using vertex groups for something else yet, you can use them for things you frequently find yourself hiding.

Radiosity, you mean?

Thread: Rigid bodies intersecting each other | Forum: Blender
It might be because it gets updated so often--which is generally a good thing, but tutorials get old fast.
Thread: Rigid bodies intersecting each other | Forum: Blender
I'd do it with a couple test bricks first before doing it on 400 of them, I'm not very convinced my suggestions will be at all useful, you're right about this sort of thing being a needle in a haystack  I've had adding more vertices help with cloth and softbody collisions, but I really don't know if it does for the regular physics engine. Might be worth a shot with a little test animation, though.
If it's a rendered animation, you could also run the simulation, bake it, and then tweak the problematic bricks afterwards.

You might try messing with the collision bounds setting:

I've also had things collide more accurately by adding more vertices, but that may only apply to softbodies. (yeah, there are 2 different collision systems. argh.)
