Thread: L'Homme Pro v2 Free for 11.3? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, that's what I was considering in the last few sentences above, in which I wrote: "Does it mean that if you have the L'Homme Pro figure version 1, then the L'Homme Pro figure version 2 is free? Again, I'm not saying that I should get this product free. I'm saying that this is a very peculiar way to attempt to communicate. (And that's not your fault.)" But, again, someone could use a little help with putting thoughts into English.
Thread: L'Homme Pro v2 Free for 11.3? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Really? Well, I'm not saying that you are incorrect. But I will say that the wording in that case is very peculiar. It reads: "The L'Homme base figure is included in the 11.3 service release for Poser. The L'Homme Pro figure has new tools for content developers and is a free update for anyone who already has him." The "has him" should refer to L'Homme. To whom else would it refer? Now, I taught English in both high school and college, and I had a number of my students win prizes for excellence in essays and poetry. Now, to me, it says the "L'Homme Pro figure . . . is a free update." If that is not the meaning, shouldn't it read something like "The L'Homme base figure is included in the 11.3 service release for Poser . . . and is a free update for anyone who already has him"? Meaning what? That there's a free update to the base figure only with the next version of Poser? Does it mean that if you have the L'Homme Pro figure version 1, then the L'Homme Pro figure version 2 is free? Again, I'm not saying that I should get this product free. I'm saying that this is a very peculiar way to attempt to communicate. (And that's not your fault.)

Thread: Will Poser 11.3 run in Mac OS Catalina? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm trying to clean up my HD before upgrading to Catalina, and before Poser 12 becomes available. I'm still using Sierra.
In my Users/~/Library folder, under Application preference files, I see some that seem clearly labeled. (See screen shot.) I do not any longer have Poser 2.0 or 9 on my HD. Is it safe to delete these Preferences? I also have several versions of Poser 10, and several versions of Poser 11, probably as a result of updates to those apps. Is it safe to delete all but one, and, if so, would I keep the ones at the bottom of v. 10 and v. 11?
I'm told it's not safe to delete preference files, and I don't want to make a mess of this, so I would only want to delete files that seem clearly labeled. In upgrading to Catalina, if some files of various sorts remain, especially in the System folder, that are from outdated apps or 32-bit apps, would that cause any problems? I'm guessing that would only take up HD space, and its best not to delete something if I'm not sure that the item could be safely deleted. Is this thinking correct?

OK. Thank you very much for this. I see the except os-x intel warning if I scan for apps or executables using Go64, which is here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208436 It was recommended to me in Apple Discussions. Another app that was recommended there is AppCleaner. Both apps are free.
I'm guessing that in Poser 12, python will be 64-bit. Does anyone know?

Thank you so much for answering. So, despite the dialog from the Go64 app, is python working? I really like to use the EZskin3 and other EZ plugins. For example, to quickly change a figure's shaders from Firefly useable to Superfly useable, I'll use EZskin. Do these plugins work with Catalina? When I saw the "except for 'python-32'" warning, I thought that meant that all the python scripts would not work. Do the python scripts work for you on Catalina?
Does anyone know what the "except for 'OS X-intel'" warning means? Does it mean that the app won't work on an Intel CPU Mac?

OK, thank you. But what does "helps to make a master dial that puts LF/LH in a pose that matches the source figure" mean? What is involved in making that "master dial"?
I get the part about distributing the rotations between the waist and the abdomen.

Oh, well that's a shame! I really liked the Universal Poses feature. With DAZ Studio **(Dare I mention that?)** there are a number of Pose Translation products, so M4 poses can be converted to Genesis, to Genesis 2, to Genesis 3, and to Genesis 8. That makes buying poses much more useful over a number of generations and figures.

Oh, I see. So I do have to buy something. I didn't realize that. Starter poses? There is or was a universal pose feature in Poser that let poses for figures like V3 be applied to V4. Does this work for L'Homme? Can I apply an M4 or a D3 pose to L'Homme? Or, do we have to start all over again with new poses?
Thread: Version 11.3 with Macintosh OS 10.12.6 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, for me, that's even better, because that's what I'm running: 10.12.6. I was wondering why LeeMoon would have stopped at 10.2.6.
But I'm sorry for EClark1894. I don't know why you can't run Poser on 10.7.5, except that 10.7.5 is an _earlier version of the Mac OS. I think I read that v. 11.3 of Poser runs on the Mac OS from versions 9 through 15. Perhaps that's the issue. But I'm no expert. You should probably check on that. And, if that is the situation, are you able to go up to at least Mac OS version 10.9? I know there are different possibilities regarding which versions of the OS you can run, depending on when your model was produced. It depends on the motherboard, the hardware, the firmware, I think.
