I'm on a slow dial up connection so I'd rather not e-mail it out too much. Even at just over 1meg. it takes a long time to e-mail it. So if English Bob is willing to host it that would be the best option.
To answer your question. Yes I did use that old Delgado concept as the basis for this. But with a few changes.
Someone sent Ricardo Delgado some of my W.I.P. on it and he said he liked it a lot. So I named it a Delgadosaurus in his honor.

I don't use Poser anymore. But there's a guy begging me to convert this Godzilla concept design I came up with to Poser for him.
It's a combination of the Gino CGI design with the saurian look of the Toho rubber suit versions.
The kind of thing I was hoping to see in G98.
Right now I'm not sure about the design look of the back fins. I'm struggeling with designers block.
But If I get around to converting it to Poser. I'll give you guys a copy to play with.

No problem dan.
Yes. It's the Pro version.
The key frames are there in Carrara before I save to .FBX. But the animation keyframes are gone when I open the .FBX file.Â
All it saves is the figure in the default pose, and it's bones.

You are correct except that there is no need to make new UV's. Download the practical guide manual from the pixologic site. It has a displacement mapping for Poser tutorial at the end of it. -ScottA

I've done a lot of H.R. and hiring in my various jobs. I was even a recruiter for Manpower for a short stint. I can only speak for myself. But it's not so much the age of a person that prevents me from hiring them. As much as how the person carries himself. I've hired some older workers. But I've also turned away a lot too. Not based on numerical age. But because the person was slow moving and reacting. And clearly unable to meet the demands of the position needing to be filled. It's not so bad to be old. But it's going to really hurt your employment chances at any company if you act old. Always keep yourself in shape and be as quick witted as you can. That's just as important as having a good resume. -ScottA

Not much to it really. Any moving parts need to be imported as separate .obj files in the Poser scene. Example: The lever would be a separate prop imported from the body of the gun. 1.) Line up the parts to fit eachother. 2.) In the Heirarchy window make the moving parts children of the the base prop. 3.) Turn off the bend property for the props. 4.) Move the JP centerpoint for the lever to the end of it so it rotates to your liking. 5.) Save it to the props library That's basically it. I haven't done it in a long time. But I don't think I forgot anything. -ScottA

If Disney does something as simple as force Pixar to crank out things at a faster rate. They don't even have to be in the same state to cause trouble for Pixar. Hopefully Pixar will dictate the direction. But Disney has a history of being an evil sweatshop overlord. We shall see.

Learning to make models is like learning to play an instrument. You only fail if you stop practicing. And the more you practice. The better you get. Everyone can play an instrument at some level. And everyone can make a 3D model to some degree. How good you get depends on your discipline to conquer your weaknesses. Some people need years of practice to make something good. Some people do it in weeks. But everyone has the ability to do it. As long as they put in the time. But you have to really want it.

Yes. In fact. Most companies prefer contract workers because they don't have to keep them on full time and pay them benefits. If you don't mind not knowing where your next job is coming from. That's a good direction to go. From all of the horror stories and unemployment stretches I read from even seasoned industry workers. I think the 3D industry is more attractive to older retired artists who are looking to do odd jobs to combat boredome. I can't imagine trying to support a family doing 3D work in this economy.
