Hi Wilks. Save your money for now. My RTX 3090 with its 24 Gb of vRAM does not work in poser. I haven't tried the 3080, but I think it will be the same problem. In fact rendering in the background using the GPU seems to be an impossibility at the moment.

Some of it feels like beta testing right now but I'm convinced you guys are on the right track. And it is cool to follow you updating Poser 12 so much these days.

I've experienced this problem too. once when I loaded a scene from the library manager it had the same weird 'black light' behavior, but when i loaded the same scene as a save file it worked fine.

I tried exporting a FBX of a complex figure with a few prop add-ons to Blender, it turned into a jumbled mess.

Ok I've just looked into my library... and its going to be quite a task. It would be nice if there was a script for the conversion

Don't uninstall poser 11 just yet.. Poser 12 is still very much in early access as far as what I can tell

You cant use render in background either, but render now and the 1080Ti works. Trying to render with render now and the 3090 results in poser crashing and closing down by itself.

Really?`...hang on... oh yes I see! weird I would never have known, they are really hard to spot in Poser 11

Those nodes used to work fine in Poser 11 though. I guess i have some work to do

In Poser 11 rendering using my 1080Ti

The 3090 isn't supported in Poser 11, so I had hoped it would have been supported in Poser 12. but everything goes to the CPU for some reason
