It is normal to track anything an admin or mod does regarding your account to your user name. That is how I take "noted in your record".
It was done that way at basically every forum I ever ran or worked for. But in varying ways.Â
I see no reason for it to be any different here and I never mod'ed here to know the exact procedure.
I have gotten the same oddly worded messages related of things when they changed policy and went on a deletion run.
I would not let it bother you, they have rules they have to abide by... Take it with a grain of salt...
Thanks for the thoughtful response. I agree and appreciate what you said, up to a point.  My beef is with the tone and perhaps inadvertent heavy-handed message. There is a way to communicate with members with a dignified and respectful manner. If the admins are asked to use a cold template, fine, but fix the template, because you and I and others are reacting the same way, to the extent that we have to "take it with a grain of salt".  I hate these intimidating notices from management.  This is not how a respectful and engaging "community" deals with its members. - BTW - in the post that was deleted, I followed the new policy and included a long and well-reasoned plea to the moderator as to why the post should be accepted, as recommended in the new policy. The notice I received gave no acknowledgment or even mentioned my note to the moderator. It was just summarily deleted with a harsh note telling me that this incident will now be noted in my "record".Â

I notice the same with other artists' posts. Recent or today's postings do not appear on the artists' primary gallery. PS: I am using Chrome browser. I observe the same "glitch" when using Microsoft Edge browser.

Congratulations. Excellent changes to the gallery experience. As a long-time member of Renderosity (2001), I say bravo!
Thread: Why are we seeing ads : infolink ads | Forum: Community Center
Whatever happens, platforms like Renderosity need to earn money. It's that simple. Having said that, I hope the admins are able to achieve a workable balance that enables them to earn profits, to allow the site to continue to offer services we rely on, but that is also sensitive to users' online experience. The risk for Renderosity is that it chases away a portion of their core community. It's a fine balance. I suspect that most of us will adapt and go on without making too much of a fuss. I for one, am happy I am not at the end of one of those corporate Zoom calls debating this very issue at rendo head office. LOL.

I don't mind proper advertising. It is what it is. It's just that this particular placement is intrusive, when the banner ads are crowding into the viewable space, and require an action on our part. To either click on the ad, and visit the advertisers' page, or try to ex out the ad. My issue is that the ad remains on screen. Perhaps the admins should take a look at that.Â

But this is new for me, today, on the Rendo site only. I was hoping others would either confirm or clarify. Thanks.
