As for the shadows on the water, Instead of lightening the shadows like you said down to 20%. Try and use a combination of soft shadows and shadow intensity. Also you can blur them slightly in the post work. One more thing you could try is increasing the bump on the water texture, that may break up the shadows just enough to make the difference you need. Nice work all together, looking forward to seeing it compleated.

Personaly The only thing I would change would be the hair color. I Love it. I think more would ruin the feeling of it, it is so scerene(sp) the way it is. Oh, and maby have that great gentle wind thats in her hair and the grass putting a little wave in the dress. Still, I am in Awe.

What is that in the center of the table? Lava? If so you might want to make it give off some light, give it a hot feel. Also try turning on your Total Internal Reflection (TIR) it will give the glasses a little more feeling. I love the chairs, good texture. Maby a cat lying in the upper left corner on the carpet would fill up that little bit of space, or if you don't want life, maby a shelf with something on it (a vase maby). Hope that helps.

I have seen Reign of Fire. . . I though it was great. But then again I like a lot of movies that most people dont. I am a sucker for anything dragons and fantacy. If nothing else just the concept was way cool to me.

I would say allow the art for this time. . . maby put a limit on the Size of the file instead of the art. Maby like 150k MAX or something like that. That way if someone for some reason needs more space to get their point across they can, but they would have to use a lower quality setting to stay within file size. . . Just an idea.

Is the problem you are haveing is getting the metal to look like metal? What I have found works well is to use one of the metal preset textures in bryce such as brushed puter. This alone looks alright, but seems to look more like a miror than metal. What you need to do is make a bump map and apply it to the texture. I like to make my own in photoshop. You want it to look like the grain in a metal. An east way to do this is to open a new document in photoshop and paint the background a mid shade of grey the use the one of the textures filters I think verticle texture looks good for metals. Just play with the settings untill you get a lot of very close together very fine lines. and save it. Then go into bryce texture editor. Click the dot in the bump section over into one of the holes which will bring up a texture off to the right. click the right button on the botom left of the texture window to turn that into a picture texture. Then go into the source editor and load the bump map you made into both blocks. click the check then set your bump height to like .5 or so. Now go out and re render it. This very small amount of bump should brake up the surface of the metal just enough to make it look like steel rather than a miror.
