Not to be crancky, but that didn't help a lot :D I allready know how to use Mike2's face morphs. I was just looking at how other people would start on a project like this. I probably didn't explain it right, just looking for basic tips. For instance use a picture as a Background in poser? Print the picture out? Practical stuff like that. Modeling in another app. would be out. A) Becuase I only have Wings3D 2) I wouldn't be able to model it as good a Daz3D (heck I wish) III) It would have to be functional in multiple scenes like Mike 2 is.

Well as I said, it's not for redistrebustion. This skin I make for personal use only. I don't think Daz really cares what I do with it on my own computer as long as I don't spread it :) BTW if anyone of you guys like tactical shooters definetly give True Combat a try. With the first mention of skin I ment the Mike texture of course... haven't had my morning.. er... evening coffe yet, just woke up after a 6 hour nap, had been playing/tweaking/modding True Combat non stop since Friday night :)

Well if I ever would do something like this for (free) distribution, I'd surly use my own kins, didn't gert those dev kits for naught :) I just tought it made an interesting problem. The skin itself is copyrighted to the skin auther, but I made the skin from rendered pictures, which in turn would be copyrighted by my. See where I'm going? Just more fuel for the "copyright has grey areas" debate.

As most have said, XP > Win'98 for Poser. Poser has bad memory leakage under Win'98 it forced me to restart Poser every few hours when I was still using Win'98. I've got no problems running Poser 4 PP under XP.

What you also can do (and what I do) is clean up your folders from time to time. Deinstal those you hardley ever use and combine others. I've combined all my hair mat files into 3 folders instead of the seperate 15 folders or so they werte in before. The problem you describe ocurs when you reach 255 folders in a library. If you keep under that there shouldn't be a problem anymore. Cleaning up folders might not be a task to look forward to, especialy with that many folders, but if you do it every now or then it will not only resolve your problem but also make things easier to find. If this board had a system like UBB/EZ boards I'd say this should be made sticky :) Some good advice there, it always suprices me how little tought people somethimes put into things like this. I recently had a discussion with somebody using one of John Malis' free models in a MOD for the game Morrowind. They never even bothered to ask John or even notify him of wath they were doing. Poserworld's subscription was teh best money I ever spend poser wise :) Unfortunatly My sub wil run out soon and I'm not able to upgrade at the moment. I'm pretty sure I'll sign up again somewhere next year though ;)
