More than likely you're using a Victoria 1 or 2. Although the documentation that comes with Skin Vue mentions using a "Victoria" it seems the author meant only using a "Victoria 3". Try it with a V3 and my wager is it will work fine. Unfortunately, I use primarily Victoria 2's in my renders because I think they are prettier models. Anxiously awaiting the plug in for V2.

For the filter, I suggest experimenting with several different ones and seeing which compliments the eye best. For the repeating texture part You will have to increase the scale of the material slightly. If it's on 1.00 now try 1.25. This way it may stretch all the way up without repeating. You can also change the scale of the picture but remember to do this with the bump as well or it'll look strange. I also recommend making sure you have bicubic oversampling checked on both the picture and the bump. You may also wish to change from a world-standard to and object-standard, otherwise it may be difficult to change the texture orientation. You can try changing the mapping coordinates to "faces" on both the texture and the bump. That sometimes helps the tex to lie flatter. MN

Where it says "Gain" reduce it to a value less than 1. You might also wish to change the function to a variable value or something other than a flat line. That should reduce the harshness. MN

Not with Vue 4, unfortunately. You can do that (bake to polygon) with Vue Pro. What I usually end up doing is to use a modeling program to make the object (C4d ce or 3ds max) and import it. Brings the polygon count down, too, usually... MN
Thread: Question about multiple Poser figure import... | Forum: Vue
If both figures have the same texture in Poser then, yes, they will import identically. To have two instances of the same texture on different models will require you to import one as an individual PZ3, alter the tex as you see fit and THEN bring in the second figure. Any textures from the first that you don't alter will be, again, identical and shared. This prevents Vue from having to import fifty billion texture files when you have several characters that share texture maps. If you changed the texture settings in Poser before saving as a PZ3 then the changes will be reflected when you import them into Vue. That isthe easiest way of making certain that your characters have different textures. (Or use a different tex map in Poser, or, alternately, rename a copy 'Vickie Tex 2' for instance and apply THAT texture to Vickie number 2. As far as Poser and Vue are then concerned the texture maps are different, even if they are not.) You can also NOT import as single mesh, click on each individual body part (Once you have the figures placed to your satisfaction) and edit the body part. This SHOULD (not always- don't ask me why...) enable you to select each portion that has a different texture map and if you open it in the material preview (not material summary) you can edit it to your heart's content. Hope this helps a little bit. MN

Honestly, this pic was NOT trying to be an effects showcase. I did this as a lark in response to something someone said on the Poser Newsgroup. Thanks for the CC, though. I can never get enough of those. 8^) MN
