Thank you Phil, I have updated the mirror on my site to your latest version of EZSkin also. :)

Thank you Phil, not only for your work on this but also for sharing all of this for anyone eager to play with the new version of the shader.Â

It turns out on the Mac side of things... EZ_CycleSkin (SF) wasn't being affected by the super glossy changes Poser 13 caused (which quickly made it my favourite).
So when 13.3.895 fixed this bug I was suddenly faced with glossy skin. Great news though, Y-Phil has come through and made an updated version of the shader that gives the desired results even in Poser 13.3.895.
You can download the latest version of EZSkin 3.2 from https://poser.cobrablade.net/
To use the newly updated shader, be sure to select EZ_CycleSkin (SF2)

Yep, I double-checked and I've got identical settings but only got the glossy skin when applying in 13.3.895. In 13.3.686 it was fine. Not sure what change would have caused this, but I'll open a ticket. Thanks for testing too RedPhantom.

Pretty sure I've just used the default settings for EZ_CycleSkin. Strange that it affects applying EZSkin, I'd understand more if it started just rendering different after an update.
I might try rolling Poser back with Time Machine and do some testing.

This is a very recent thing. I was using 13.3.686 when I used EZSkin for that character originally. If I apply it now in 13.3.895 I got this. Both of these are rendered in 13.3.895.
If either of you have a character that EZSkin has already been applied to in the past (preferably EZ_CycleSkin) can you render them, then apply EZskin again and see if it renders differently now?

Time to resurrect this post again? I hope I've done something stupid on my end... but applying EZ_CycleSkin (SF) via EZSkin in Poser since updating Poser is giving me super shiny people despite not having changed anything with EZSkin to my knowledge.
This is how the character looks from when I applied EZ_CycleSkin earlier.
But if I apply EZ_CycleSkin now it will now look like this.
I even tried Defaults thinking I may have bumped a setting here or there, but this is the current setting giving me extra shine.

Probably worth mentioning if you or anyone else needs to submit a support ticket you still can, just have to select Open a New Ticket.
You don't have to be logged in to do so. So it might be worth submitting a ticket for this if it doesn't resolve itself soon.

Not with Poser... but then maybe I'm not due for a call home yet.
Not sure if it is related, but I haven't been able to log in over at https://support.posersoftware.com/ to lodge any support tickets for about the same amount of time.

Thread: How I almost gave up on Poser 13 to go back to Poser 11 | Forum: Poser 13
I used CPU rendering prior to Poser 13 due to 13 being the 1st to support Apple’s GPU. So it wasn't me I'm afraid. I had no idea what was going on, so contacted Poser support. That's how I got the explanation above. Charles also said the most likely cause for the GPU crashing is if the GPU runs out of memory.

Sounds like what I reported recently. So it sounds like you're rendering using your GPU.
If a render causes the GPU to crash or the OS resets it, GPU renders won't work until Poser is restarted. If that is what is happening, it's a known issue. So, it's up to you if you still want to file a ticket.

Thank you RedPhantom and Kalypso. With how long-winded that was, I appreciate you taking the time to read through it all.
As for the EZ_CycleSkin (SF) shader, when you download EZSkin 3.2 from Poser scripts by Snarlygribbly. Be sure to replace any existing shaders in your Custom shaders folder with the ones that come in this zip as they have been updated by Y-Phil to work with 12/13.

This seems to have resolved itself? Just fired up Poser 11 & 12 and they seem to be back to normal.
Maybe 14.2.1 fixed a bug Apple introduced that caused all of that in the 1st place.

You're probably right hborre, and it would be great if we could get the BB Hair Shader by AP remade for Poser 13 upwards, but unfortunately, I think we have lost the entire development and creation with the SmichMicro Poser forums disappearance. So I'm not even sure who was responsible for its creation. I'm guessing BB stands for Bagginsbill, but I'm not sure who AP would be.

That is an idea, it'll take a lot of work... but if they could perfect it and you could just drag whatever clothing item from whatever figure onto Poser's latest figure and it just fit like magic. I think that would be a real winner.
