Thread: Poser Textures | Forum: Vue
I had the same problem with Poser 4 and Vue 5. I've found that if I put all the textures into the Poser/Runtime/Textures directory, they will import without any problem. If the textures are anywhere else (ie. My Documents) then it will import without textures. This works with Poser 4, so it might work with Poser 5...
Thread: Vue 5 and Poser Artist Materials Problem | Forum: Vue
I couldn't get access to the technical support - it kept timing out, so have posted a message on the eon forum. Would be interesting to find out if anyone else has seen this problem while using Poser 4 or Poser Artist, or if it's just me...

Well, after reading Wabe's reply to Spider1313's problem, I reinstalled Vue 4, and the poser model loaded with all correct textures, saved it as a *.vob and loaded it into Vue 5 that way, with all the textures still in place.

It's definetly the full version - two disks, manual, etc. Mine was delivered on Friday, you don't even need vue 4 installed, after installing the upgrade, the first time you open Vue 5 it will ask for your Vue 4 serial number..
Thread: ACCCCKKKK...E-ON sent me a news letter about Vue 5 in French... | Forum: Vue
I've recieved an email as well, If it's the same news letter I recieved then it's basically just saying that Vue 5 is about to be released, it says:
Dear customer, dear friend,
E-on software is happy and proud to introduce you to the latest release of your favorite 3D application ;-)
It's now been over 3 years that Vue 4 was released. Three years of hard work to turn this new generation of Vue into the ultimate natural 3D environment tool! Last year saw the release of the professional line of Vue products, but this year, with Vue 5, we're introducing a whole new generation. Vue 5 Esprit will ship at the end of the month, and Vue 5 Professional before the end of the year.
You can start pre-ordering Vue 5 Esprit right away!
The list of new features in this release is bewildering; see for yourself:
Global Illumination and EasyGI
Global Radiosity
HDRI and Image Based Lighting
Procedural Terrains
Advanced Atmospheric Engine
Compatible with Vue Professional Plant Technology
New Material and Function Editors, Parametric Mapping
Metablobs Organic Modeling
3D Text Editor

BigGreenFurryThing, it's not your PC, I'm having the same problem when trying to pre-order from the UK. Reports a fatal error, in the pull down menu for shipping. Hopefully it will be sorted soon.

Thanks for the quick reply Mike. Now I just need to decide if I want to upgrade to Poser 4 (there's a special offer with the magazine to get 100 off Poser4)
Thread: New Home Pages Here | Forum: Vue
Hi Varian,
Strange thing is, thats what I done last night, but nothing changed, even after hitting refresh numerous times and logging out and coming back a couple of hours later. However, when I went to try again just now, it had the correct picture in it. Maybe it was running slow - to many people trying to upload at the same time or something, but its seems like everything is fine now.
Thanks
William
Thread: New Home Pages Here | Forum: Vue
Agiel, tried refreshing the screen many times, but still no joy. If I change the text, the changes appear, just the picture stays the same. I removed the URL from the part that says 'Picture URL' and entered the path to where my new image is in the area that says 'Or Upload Picture', then, after refreshing with no luck, go back into 'Manage page' and its reset itself back to its original state. Don't know if anyone else has had this problem, or, if they were able to resolve it, I guess I'll just have to stick with the one thats there! Thanks for the info though :)
Thread: New Home Pages Here | Forum: Vue
Another question Mike, in the homepage section, i'm trying to change the picture (the current one was from when I first joined), but, when I try to upload a new picture from my documents directory on my machine, and hit save home page, it doesn't change. Then when I go back into the manage page, its defaulted back to the way it was originally. My limit for file uploads is the same as agiels, is this why I can't change the picture? Any help you can provide would be appreciated. Cheers William

You could always try making the ground plane the road then create terrains and place them around where you want the road to go. When you create the terrains, use the clip function to round off the edges, and then place grass, etc around to create the look, that's how I did the corner on this pic. May not be what your looking for, but, it may give you an idea.Thread: Trying to find an object... | Forum: Vue
Thanks Mike, 3DCafe had plenty of trains/vehicles etc in various formats. Thanks for the info. William
