I also noticed that Rendo is doing a lot of "human" checking today so there may be a denial of service attack involved.  US infrastructure is undergoing a lot of hacking attempts at the moment.

It has been acting flaky for the last 12 hours or so, but it appears to be connectivity issues not programming issues.  I doubt it is anything the devs can fix, hopefully it is both temporary and transient.

We are too used to the Internet being totally reliable when it actually isn't ;)

The other side of it of course is that you don't actually want those particular body parts to load in a model you don't want to show unclothed.  It makes fitting the pants really difficult.  It actually makes sense to load them separately.  That part has nothing to do with censorship.

I was able to process through Paypal, just not with their credit card.  I could use a different credit card I had attached.  I think the problem may be communication between the paypal site and Synchronicity bank who does their credit card.  There may also be a glitch in the routine that works with a paypal credit balance in conjunction with their card.   In any case, I don't think communication between Rendo and Paypal is the problem.

It looks like the problem was at Paypal's end.  When I chose a different credit card the payment went through.  I'll contact them about the problem.

I have no plans to use Genesis 9 yet, but then again I never use any new figure until six months down the road, I don't ever feel any need to be the first kid on the block to own new technology, it's too expensive and there are always kinks to be worked out.  Ask me again during March Madness 2023.

On this one though, it is so different from Genesis 8, and there is no path convert previous assets, that's going to be a huge cost and I am going to have to see serious benefits from the new generation to buy into it. And unless DAZ has dealt with the speed issues involved in loading all the morph DSF files, Genesis 9 will be even quicker to bog down then 8, and it  will effect both genders of models since they all need to be present in any character instance.

Ah, OK, that's were I saw my old address, I didn't realize that is where it needed to be changed.  I'll take care of that on my next order.

I want to amend my previous statement a bit. Having other advertising in the store is a problem, particularly popups or anything I have to get rid of to actually see what I want to buy. The other parts of the site are basically free and do need to be supported, though hopefully store sales can do it. In any case I'm not going to complain about outside advertising on the galleries or forums.

But I am a prime member, and that is a contribution directly to the site rather than to a product. I also wouldn't mind helping to support server costs for the other areas, at the very least, how about coming up with something like prime where you can pay not to see any ads outside of ones for products in the store?

I'm getting them on Firefox. Look guys, I come here to shop your place. Anything you want to show me that is on sale here is fair game. Do NOT show me other people's advertising. I know you consider it just another revenue stream but you aren't Facebook, this place isn't free, and it's frankly going to annoy a lot of your customers. So how much does your revenue have to decline from lost sales before you realize that ad stream is not free for you?

You'd have to ask Zeddicus but my bet would be they are Posing in Poser and transferring to DAZ rather than the other way around. There are converters that take a Poser Pose file and convert it to DAZ without a problem.

That script you are using is pretty old though. The last update was 2011. You aren't trying to pose a later Genesis figure then export that for V4.2 are you? I'm pretty sure it can't handle that at all. It was written before they existed.

I find I don't have any problems except with clothing add on texture sets. On those with some vendors you actually have to go back to the product page to find out what clothes the textures are for. They really, really really ought to go in the same sub-directory as the clothes themselves guys. If you don't do that at least indicate somewhere in the path or filenames what the clothing is.

It appears they have. I'm not getting them tonight on a computer I'm not using a pop-up blocker on. If the test was cancelled early it was a good idea to do so.

On the Genesis 3 to 8 question the problem was the version of the character wasn't matching the version of Genesis. Genesis (1) was V5 and M5, Genesis 2 was V6 and M6. DAZ thought there might be too much confusion between Genesis 4 and V4, and it seemed a good time to have the Genesis number match the Model Generation number, so Genesis 8 now matches V8 and M8. It's really the only reason for the gap.
