Thread: Dirt on the mirror, Pentaprism of 5D | Forum: Photography
I just talked to the place where I purchased the camera. They said that they would take it back had I not sent in the rebate form to Canon yet, which I already have. So I am gona talk to Canon tomorrow, if no results comes out of that, I will follow your advice Joe.
I was reading "dpreview" today on this topic and there seems to be a problem with dirt in the viewfinder with this camera. There were quite a few people with the same issue.
It is funny that if you register your 5D with canon now, they will give you $100.00 toward a repair and will guarantee that the work will be done within 3 days. I wonder why they are offering this for 5D only?
Please don't get me wrong about the product. This is one of the best camera's I have shot with. I I have shot a little with 1D, mark II and that is a great camera as well, but a little too heavy and bulky for me. So it is sad that it has this issue. Hope canon comes through with a permanent solution, because this can happen over and over again.

Another excellent image, but I do agree with most others on posting the other one. This one is really nice as well but too much going on in his eyes (reflection) and reduces the intesity of the green the other image is radiating. Amazing work on both of them however

Marlene; I am just as confused as you are in Natural Fractal Challenge. From the dictionary, it is referd to objects that look the same, in forms, that make up a bigger object that looks the same as the ones that make it. What did I just say :) The search for understanding the subject is still on for me.

All the choices sound very interesting and challenging. I would vote for curves from the list. I would also vote for "fire" if it makes it to the list. Thank You

Thank you for adding the image to the Challenge page. This is the first time I have submitted to the monthly challenge, because I did not know about it. How does this work? Is there an image picked at the end? Just wondering. For me, just the feed back from everyone here is satisfatory enough. Thanks again

I got it on the first shot :) Just kidding. Many shots ofcourse. I controled the water drip rate so many times until I was able to get only ONE water drop in the image. Getting lighting right however is the toughest for me since I do not own any studio lighting equiptment. Direct flash, used here, is not the way to go for most photography work, in my amature opinion.

Thank You cbender. This shot was taken in my kitchen sink. I used direct Flash and a tungsten light coming in from the side to sort of produce a warmer look. Post work was only cropping, and the framing. Here are the shot settings: Canon 24-70 mm L, 70 mm, 1/200s, f2.8, ISO 100, Direct Flash. Thanks again for viewing
