Gosh I'm just looking again at Mark's and Trepz's systems. Fantastic looking speakers and Marks musical equipment looks great! Must sound really nice in both places. I have a couple of tiny speakers i bought at the super market. They make all sorts of fantastic noises too... especially when I set my cell phone down somewhere near them. sheesh!

Oh and I think we should all move to Wabe's office. it's big enough for the entire forum! ;)

I think this is amazing, Chipp. Sorry I did't really read through all so i don't understand how you could put this into a pack? Will it be scenes and a tutorial? You don't have to answer that. I'm just thinking out loud.

I got my Mac Pro a year ago and sidegrading was probably the most annoying thing for me after having spending a fortune on the new computer. Most of the programs I needed to sidegrade charged upgrade pricing for that. Very few actually had lower sidegrade pricing available. Curiously the most expensive program to sidegrade was Onyx Garden Suite. I really had the feeling that I was getting taken for a ride there. And even though I am deliriously happy with Mac, sidegrading proved to be very, very expensive.

One thing I would suggest is investing in Parallels, where you can run all your Windows programs and then take the time to sidegrade them all. Who can live without P3DO? In parallels it actually works very well even when the runtime is located on Mac.

All in all it took me about 6 months to really get comfortable with Mac (I'm old and it takes a while), so there will be some disconcerting moments. Wabe was, and still is a great help when questions pop up (even when he pushes downloading programs like Default Folder which I never used once.) Thanks Wabe!

But it's all so worth it when you're making a Vue scene with a huge polycount and never once getting an OOM! :) Nice.

I've never had that happen. Are you using the trees that came with your version of Vue? I've heard using trees from an older version can cause problems, although not like this.
The alpha mats looked stretched and I don't think that has anything to do with the hooking point.
