I actually took the time to learn DS just the other day.
I pretty much switched completely after using Poser since 2002.

Just for the record, Paul is a gives us a new version of the plug usually the same day a new version of Octane hits the development forum and is great about listening to the users. I have 2 plug licenses and 3 octane licenses and couldn't be happier.

To paraphrase, in order to use V4 clothing with weight mapped V4, we need to copy the weight maps to the V4 clothing?
Or was there another thread on this somewhere that I missed :D

Right click on the poser.exe and then select run as admin. Then try your python scripts.

2 Cents = The community has created some REALLY neat stuff for firefly. Leaving those setups for a different "material room" is problematic for many attempting to create continuity between softwares.
VSS / Matmatic, etc.
EDIT: If Poser has soft body dynamics and particles I would probably never use anything else. Oh, it could also render faster... You get spoiled in C8 / C4D.

Ok, so I think that the merchant whose shaders I was trying to copy to other textures enmass used VSS or a shader setup similar. No really.
So that totally takes care of what I wanted to do.
