I'm a little more paranoid than geoegress.
I would COPY and Paste the whole thing; verify that the new "installation" works correctly on several different items.
Then, and only then, would I CUT (or Delete) the original folder.
But, then, I go for weeks on Windows 2K (at work) and nearly a month on Mac OS X (at home) without crashing and/or restarting. (Not necessarily bragging; it's just that my "old woman" habits seem to pay off.)

Yes. For some reason, the icon says UVX, but when I open the program it says UVMapper. The original Windows code, according to the "About" window is by Steve Cox, but it was ported to the Mac by Steve Martin. A wild and crazy guy, no doubt -- but I didn't think he was a coder, as well.

While you're there, get UVX as well. It's the Mac version of the UV mapping program to create texture maps. A swell little program.

I like the lighting effect, David. Take a look for a Dr. Geep tutorial on Surface Material; it's around here somewhere (or you could Google for it). It will give you lots of good ideas to play with. Yeah, I have to agree when you say "I feel like I did good".

Which is, of course, what you wrote -- not My_Thumbnailer, which is what I commented upon. I have now located Thumbnailer and downloaded it; I'll give it a try. Thanks for the tip and for your patience.

Thanks, Charlie, but the screenshot at http://www.softforall.com/Multimedia/Illustration/My_Thumbnailer07040001_ScreenShot.htm seems to indicate that Thumbnailer 1.1 is a Windows program. Is there a Mac version that I'm overlooking?

Marinne, Thank you! That worked a treat. I had tried substitution the PICT resource in ResEdit, but I had gone one step too far by opening the PICT resource and trying to Paste there. So I figured that I was too many years away from ResEdit to be useful. You have restored me to the True Path. ;-) Thanks again.

Thank you, m'lord. That information is helpful, as I couldn't understand why it wouldn't display correctly. Unfortunately, it's not completely useful because I using P4 on a Mac. A P5 purchase moved two weeks into the future as I had to spend the money to have two trees taken down (they were endangering a neighbor's house). The second alternative will become useful if there is P3do for Mac (OS 9 or X); I'm not aware of it, but would be happy to learn of such.

It doesn't support Tkinter? Look again. Tkinter is a Unix application; OS X is Unix; Tkinter is part of the basic application. Next objection?

While we are on the subject, I notice that many (most? all?) of the Python scripts in the Free Stuff area are marked PC only. Why is that? I've been writing Python programs which run cross-platform for several years and never had a bit of difficulty moving the same source from PC to Mac to Unix (and all combinations thereof). None of them interacted with Poser, however. Is there something special about Mac OS X Poser which makes Python run differently?

I have uploaded TrekkieFreckles.zip to the FreeStuff area. It contains two brushes, one for PS6 and another for PS7. As noted above, this was done with ernoka1's express permission.

Hate to disagree with you, Charlie, but are you sure you're running a Macintosh operating system.
I have just tested with Photoshop Version 5.5 (under OS9.2), Version 6.03 (under OS9.2), and Photoshop CS (under OSX.3). All three versions successfully loaded and used brushes with filenames of angels3.jbr, btfly5.jbr, and bows4.jbr.
Actually, I was surprised that Photoshop CS would recognize them, because OS X uses the extensions as identifiers.
For operating systems 9.x and below, the file type for all of the above was 8BBR and the creator was 8BIM (yes, they are case-sensitive).
Looking a little deeper into the OS X examples, I find that the Unix settings for files with a *.jbr extension indicate that the default application for such items is Adobe Photoshop CS. So this must have been set when I installed.
Still more research: in OS 9 (Photoshop 5.5 and 6.x), I can open and use files with no extension whatsoever, as in "50 More from Xaos" (without the quotes, of course). However, the type/creator pair is 8BBR and 8BIM.
BTW, the angels, butterfly, and bows brushes were, in fact, imported from a Windows source. I had to change the type/creator pair manually (actually, I wrote an AppleScript to do it; I get bored easily).
