Since editing time has expired, I unable to edit my previous post - Hence, please read SmithMicroDLMDownloads in above reply as SmithMicroDLM/Downloads ("/" was missing between SmithMicroDLM and Downloads)
Thread: Poser Upgrade Offfer | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
I recently purchased full copy of Poser 2014 Pro from SM and the process seems to be the same or at least similar,
- Download and install the download manager.
- Start the download manager and input the serial you rec'd when you purchased the program. The install manager connects to SM website and downloads list of all installers available for your serial - For full version of PP 2014 Pro, this gives the main proggie, the qeue manager (do NOT confuse with the download manager - this is to help in doing parallel rendering) and the various content packs.
- For Pro version, you are also provided PowerFusion plugins which help in using Poser data with 3D creation apps (3ds max, maya, lw, c4d). To download plugins, start the install manager and input the serial (I had input 3ds max serial and got the list containing plugins for the remaining 3 apps)
- Install the apps directly or by choosing install from the download manager and enjoy!
NOTE: For backup, you have to do the following additional steps,
- Determine the path where the installers are downloaded (the path is shown at the bottom of the download manager). Hovering you mouse over individual download entries in the manager also shows path to the individual file. This is same as the path jennblake has mentioned in their earlier post and NOT some new info :-)
- Once you have located the download path as above, you may want to backup the SmithMicroDLMDownloads folder and its sub-folders, as additional files here are used by the download manager in case you wish to install/reinstall through the download manager interface.

I am now able to view the video in Firefox (without the need for any tinkering).
I believe you have it solved :-)
And one more bug bites the bug-spray. Erm, I meant dust!

Update: I've just discovered that MP4 version is also present. So, strike the "convert to different format" suggestion in my previous post. With some tinkering, I'm able to access the video using Firefox, albeit indirectly.

Bingo! Unable to view using FF 29 and 30. Same result with SeaMonkey. But as SM shares Mozilla code base, this is not surprising.
While I do have IE, it is ages since I used it. Currently upgrading it from IE7. Will let you know if I am able to access with the upgraded browser.
Just did a search and realized, the very same issue has already been posted in the premium tutorials section - my bad as I did not do a search and also posted in wrong section. If (http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2882019) is the main thread for tracking the issue, then this current thread can be moved there closed marked as duplicate.
Since this problem is specific to Lesson 4, it is likely that the issues could be with the metadata of the file or possibly some encoded data is being mistaken as metadata or it is simply unable to decode (especially if the encoding app is creating files which are not fully standards compatible). Some workarounds (if this is indeed the issue) - try encoding in a different format, say FLV/MPEG, instead of WBEM (VP8); try encoding in another resolution.
Thread: Terrible Download Speeds | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
Hmmm, this could make for an interestng strategy - limit download speeds to make customers buy more to verify the speeds ;-)
Thread: Terrible Download Speeds | Forum: MarketPlace Customers
Hi tiggersprings,
I'm no resident site expert, but the problem may be in some intermediate node on the path from the server to your connection. I'm halfway around the world and am having a 2 Mbit connection. Tried dl-ing one of Flink's grass products - the speed is 200KBps+ (which is more than fair accounting for the network protocol overheads - compared to the max of 256KBps which I should get). Also, the download link utlimately resolves to Amazon storage https://....amazonaws.com/products/...) - so either Amazon is doing some funky load balancing or there is something else causing the throttling (one of the nodes upstream is swamped, denial of service attacks, ...) ! By the time I typed this, my 20 MB download has finished.
