I rendered a scene at 4000 x 3000 pixels and had it printed with an online company and it looked perfect. basically I was told once that an inch is 100 pixels. Seemed to work for me but making it bigger isn't gonna hurt.

haha thanks yeah I would have kinda liked that too....I have such a hard time making realistic looking landscapes. That's what bryce is suppose to be used for yet I still have such a hard time with it :) haha oh well. I kinda wanted it outside but didn't really think of a snowy scene. That could be very cool. Thanks for the advice and about the blue...somehow I placed a light in the scene and then was gonna use it but where the default start location was was just below my water plane and it created that effect so I decided to leave it. Just thought it looked kinda cool and took away from the completely black background which is the one problem I also saw with this.

haha not so you think I've been working on this for a year straight I kinda stopped using bryce while I was in school..so just started back up on it over the summer.
Thread: Idea for a memorial image | Forum: Bryce
I saw that picture and was thinking about making it. I haven't been here since tuesday for the simple reason that I have been watching the news and just haven't felt like being online. I live about a hour north of NYC and it just hits real close to home even though I didn't know anyone in the building personally. A few of my teachers still have friends who are missing unfortunatly though. I will give the image a try...but it may be a few days....someone else can give it a try if they want....I don't think I have any firefighter suits but I will work around that...atleast I will try. I do however feel that it is great how American and many other countries are coming together, which is excatly the opposite of what the terrorists wanted to happen.

that's odd....you should be able to just go to my site then click on Textures....Tree Texture 3 and 4 were not working yesterday but I fixed them now.

No problem...I was gonna make a set of like 20 and put them up for sale here, but then I decided not too.

Like Grumblecat said...the easiest thing is to just hold down the control key and then left (or right I guess) click on the lake...a dropdown list will appear and any object under it will be on the list.

Excellent work...how did you create the fire in all the pictures? Looks great!....I love the picture of the house during winter...with the people outside...reminds me of a SWAT game I play on my computer...looks so cool!
Thread: Bryce 5 - an opportunity lost? | Forum: Bryce
Yeah that is very true...that would make life much easier...but I haven't had a problem importing stuff except for sometimes the textures don't apply right, but then all I have to do is just reapply them. I will stick with my trusty Bryce 5 :) hehe
Thread: New to Bryce - Moon problem. Need guidance. | Forum: Bryce
Actually I found it's Ctrl + Alt + Shift for the moon. Or Just Ctrl + Alt For the sun. This works nicely if you make the custom sky and make everything black...then make a cloud plane...makes a very nice night time sky.
