Ok, here is where I show my total lack of knowledge.  I can not find a file marked user profile.  Is it in the Poser program? or somewhere else?

Thanks for your time.  I have Car6 pro and find it confusing for an older user that is why I gave up on it and went back to ESP.  I use Car to make objects only.  I do like DAZ better than POSER for somethings.  I knew that the two lines of programs would pull apart and try to eliminate the use of the other programs with there products.

What a shame because it would open up things for we users that like some things from each program.  As you can see, I have been using both and would have continued to buy each if they had kept them working together. 

Now, I have to choose and that eliminates the use of the other product entirely.  Well, I guess DAZ is the looser.  It is a shame, I have been a member at DAZ since 1985. 

Now all I can use it for is the savings and if they completely eliminate setting stuff up for POSER it will mean we are all going to be a lot more limited.  What a shame for the user and the loosing software.  DAZ studio is free now but, if they start charging, Poser wins hands down for ease of use.  

Just a personal thought and it is users like me with the money to buy the stuff.......... 

I know this will not sit well with a lot of people but personally I think a reasonable amount of time for a person to get reimbursed for the one single idea should be 20 years.  It is stupid that we cannot sing Happy Birthday in a public place unless we pay a family 4 generations removed for the use of it..

It should be enough to recoup, make a profit, and get the atta boys in that much time..  Then it should be a gift to humanity.  That way every bright person could improve on it and we would go into the future by leaps and bounds.

Sorry for my two cents worth, but, the way everything is now we should pay some cave man every time we cook a hot dog for the fire................................

Late Glow,  I finally figured out completely why I was having such a blank hard time with this.  Incase any one else is having a problem like this.  I was trying to install V4 and all her added creature morphs outside of the main Poser 7 file and just like the pop up says if you put the files in the main file all is well.  I will try reading and not panic next time..........

If you don't read you deserve what you get...  A real mess.

I usually do open everything and then put them where I want but V4 intimidates me a little she has so many parts and I just am not sure where it all goes.  I thank you for your answer and you are right about the mess install exe makes of everything.  The Poser org really helps a lot but when it went spaz I froze.  I am going to just try as you say an just put the parts where I want them......

A few days ago I saw a bunch of V3 and Mil Baby poses.  I thought I book marked it to go back and get them.  I guess it did not work, and now I can't find them.  Sure hope some of you all can tell me where I saw them....

This is the only place I could find to ask anyone...

I use Windows XP Pro as well.  I uninstalled it completely and then put my Poser 6 back on.  It went right on after uninstalling the New Daz, I wish I still had the old one to put back on.  I am hoping that it is in my recycle.  I will let you know if I can find the old one. 

My son in law said to just go back and wait till the next upgrade then try installing it.  I am frustrated because I also just found the little script thing that allows you to transport as a CR2 directly into Poser.  I was just thinking it might come in real handy.

OH, I should have said he is a software engineer so I think he might know how to keep me out of trouble.  I hope!! 

When I put it on my Poser 6 refused to work.  I thought a reinstall would fix it so I uninstalled Poser 6 and then today, I tried to reinstall Poser 6.  It would not even let me use the disk to click the install.  I then tried my Poser 5.  It did the same thing.  I tried to enter it as a possible bug and got a notice back from DAZ that I was using an invalid user and Id.  I have always had the same user and Id.  I hope I did not let it change anything in the reg or anything so that I will have to take it to a pro to get it all undone. 

There is a ! on the event viewer where Studio was installed.  I sure am upset!!!! 

Dose anyone know what has happened.  If no one answers I will call DAZ tomorrow..

Well, I guess I will just have to get the 4 and either adapt it or get V4 latter.  If I buy it do you think I can put it into Poser as a Prop and then use the cloth room to make it fit the poses?  I have never tried to do this before.
