I am so sorry. She was one sweet lady.
Please pay no attention to the goofy Modo sig. I can't get it off.
I love me some Modo! :-)
Thread: Feature requests for Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - > Quote - Hi,
Since Smith Micro has released a Game Dev version, could we please get support for pbr materials at some point?
Thank you!
I've been talking them up at work for awhile now but I don't know if they're something we have planned to support (and couldn't say if I did).
Well, good! :-)
The "albedo, specular, gloss, and normal" setup works pretty well, with maps generated by programs like Quixel DDO. The metalness is sort of a flop for me.
I've found that Poser is surprisingingly versatile, when it comes to materials though. I really like the Ks-Microfacet node, for use with the above maps, although I've run into some material artists who do not like Ks_M.
The Glossy node is pretty nice, too.
Finally, finally -- making use of those Alt channels. :-)
Thanks for the reply, Teyon. (Spelled it right...right?)
I love me some Modo! :-)

Well, I installed an update over the upgrade, I guess.
Ah, well -- hopefully no harm done. :-)

I haven't done that -- thank you, I need to check to see if my SR is installed.

I know this is an old thread, but still valuable material.
Thank you very much!

Hi, I posted this in the feature request thread, too.
Since Smith Micro has released this Game Dev version of Poser, could we get support for pbr materials, at some point?
Thank you!

Thread: HD morph? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
The HD morphs are great -- but I've already said that in another thread. I don't have the displacement, but I like the HD morph look much better than the displacement look. The displacement look is almost too much texture, for my taste. But to each his own. :-)
I love me some Modo! :-)
Thread: Sale/nosale give me a brake | Forum: DAZ|Studio
There's a two day sale going on now, April catch up, I believe. :-) Some of the new stuff is back on sale, looks like.

A 2 day sale was the way I got V6. Wasn't going to get into the G2 line at all, but there was a special -- I ended up getting V6 and her hd/essentials for 37 percent off, or something like that. I think I've already gotten my money's worth -- V6 is fun. Dawn is still my go-to in Poser, but I like V6 in DS.
There are advantages to being a dual-program user. ;-)
I love me some Modo! :-)
Thread: G2F... do you use her much? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Edit: Wow, I'm inattentative -- yes, on the V6HD ad, there are clay shader illustrations.
Wished I'd checked more thoroughly, in the first place. :-)
Ah, well...I like to render V6HD, even in clay.
I love me some Modo! :-)
Thread: G2F... do you use her much? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
I didn't know how much of the body I could show, even in clay shaders. :-)
Shading rate: .1
Maybe a better render artist will do some more.

Thank you. :-)
About the clay shader morph illustrations...I THINK there are one or two -- of Olympia, maybe, and Stephanie. But not V6, which is the one I have. I figured I needed to keep my Victoria line unbroken. :-) If clay shading is the type I'm thinking of. V6 is shown in full blooming color -- well, a studio look, I guess.
I saw a few clay-looking icons when I was searching for Victoria 6 HD.
The HD morphs are tricky to light -- I have to turn gamma correction on, and I usually don't. Otherwise, they're too contrasty. Or else I'm doing something wrong with my lights. ;-)

Quote - No, only products sold at DAZ have access to HD morphs technology, so the only the PAs there currently have access to the tools.
Yes, that's what I read. :-)
Quote - I may be misunderstanding...I hope so...but are you saying that there are no new hd morphs forthcoming, even from the vendors?
I was talking about the DAZ vendors. Maybe I shouldn't mention the DAZ store here at Rendo? I post infrequently, so if I broke a rule, I am sorry. :-)
Anyhow, back to the original question -- yes, I'm using the G2 Female, mainly because I'm fascinated with the HD side of her -- but even in her non-HD form, she renders out really well for me. Even if I am a Poser user, trying to re-learn DS.
I haven't tried the G2F in Poser though.
I love me some Modo! :-)
