The artifacts are often elongated blocks, or sometimes just thick or thin, horizontal, vertical or diagonal lines, or sometimes square spots anywhere in the image. I've tried bucket sizes of 32, 48 and 64 and everything in between and it doesn't seem to make them go away. I've also tried setting the Render Threads to separate process.
What bucket size do you suggest?
Thread: Poser 7 lights animating when I don't want them to | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - In a multi-frame poser scene, when you set the lights in one frame, then change their position or settings in another frame later on in the sequence, you will get the lights changing and animating.
I use this for "special effects", actually.
Just make your lights in the earlier frame to be the exact same ones ( position and settings and number of ) as in your later frame, and that should solve the problem.
Yea but if animation is turned OFF for the lights, all of that shouldn't matter. I guess I could just delete any keyframes and set all lights to "constant" from the beginning of the animation to the end, just to be sure.

The guide I downloaded from Daz is by SnowSultan and is colour-coded ;). Even so I haven't a clue how to use it...yet.

Oddly enough I've just downloaded the V3 body seamguide from Daz (same one). I'm currently staring at in bewilderment. I know it's more or less about making particular sections match when they are "wrapped" around the model. I just haven't a clue where to start.:/
Thread: err how do you create RSR/PNG library files for P7? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This is stupid, I shouldn't have to download a complete separate utility just to do this simple thing! The manual itself says it's just a matter of selecting items and adding to the library, all I want to do is do what I've always done in Poser 4 which is to render thumbnails of figures and add them to the library! Jeez :/
I gave up on Content Paradise, it is the slowest site on the bloody planet. I couldn't even reach the checkout page, and I have the patience of Job!

Quote - All you have to do, set your render size to 91x91, render and then save as png to the library where you want it. Does that help? Sharen
I don't think you understand what I mean. I want to save items to the library with a rendered thumbnail RSR/PNG. I don't see how rendering at 91x91 and saving as PNG will do that. How do I get it to save the FIGURE along with the PNG? I've tried your method and it won't work. I render the image, but as soon as I select what I want to save to the library - the FIGURE - it switches BACK to the PREVIEW window. And since the Library captures what is in the PREVIEW windows, it doesn't capture what is in the RENDER window.
God this is should be simple, but it's difficult to explain :/

Duh I think I've figured it out. I had to switch from OpenGL to SreeD Preview Mode to see the BG. For some reason OpenGL won't show the BG. Jeez, when will OpenGL ever work on my PC! It never fully works.
Thread: newbie question about making conforming Poser clothing | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hmm, I still can't get the damn toes to bend with vicky's toes. I don't get it. To test, I copied the V3 CR2, loaded it in CR2Edit, replaced ONLY the "figureResfile" with my sandal object (figureResFile :Runtime:Geometries:DAZPeople:SandalL.obj), leaving everything else as it was. It loads ok in Poser, but when I conform it the toes just won't bend with Vicky's toes. The hierarchy looks right, and yes the toes ARE a separate part. The foot part bends with Vicky's foot; the toes won't. They are named "lFoot" and "lToe" respectively.
Maybe this malarky just isn't my thing.
BTW: just which parts of the CR2 should I delete? Body parts are listed twice, and there's so much other stuff I haven't a clue about.

OK thanks for your input people. I think I understand, I guess I'll just muddle through blindly like always ;)

Well I have the sandal in two parts, conformed and fitting ok, but when I load it the toes won't bend with the Vicky toes. Messing with the JP doesn't seem to do anything.

JoeHFG, maybe I should have mentioned I only use Poser 4, and Lightwave 9. I got as far as naming polygon parts - lFoot, lToe - and exporting the model, only when I exported the model to Poser, it DIDN'T have any body parts - lFoot, lToe, etc. It's still one whole model :( I'm guessing this only works in later versions of Poser? In which case, I'm wasting your time and mine :/
I bought Poser 7 at a discount, but the stupid thing took 4 HOURS to install, even on my speed-demon, and when I finally got around to using it, I hated almost everything about it. Is there any reason why this shouldn't work in Poser 4? Or is that a dumb question?

Wow, thanks guys, especially JoeHFG, thanks for taking the time, I appreciate it. I'm pretty familiar with Poser's directory structure, I've just never made anything for a Poser character before ;). Seems I still have a lot of homework to do, though :)
jumps in head first
Cheers,

Thread: Username Change Feature??? | Forum: Community Center
I admit once or twice I thought about changing my user name, years ago. But no way would I pay ANYTHING to do something so mundane and elementary. Seriously, Rendy has lost the plot.
