LOL jump right in there.
I do stuff for Falcon Entertainment and My system consists of 4 machines running
custom boards with duel 64bit Xeon processors and 16 gigs of ram each all SATA
and three 32"HD monitors and 40min would take me at least a year by myself.
Now granted there are better than me that may be faster.  Of course were talking quality.
I'd say lower your sites and take your time and start with a 1 or 200 frame movie. Start simple
 and work your way up. try just having V4 walk across a room smoothly and effortlessly.
Then work on following and rotating the camera around here as she walks.
It's all done one frame at a time.
As far as tutorials there are some at DAZ also Google animation.

 Save your runtime to a separate  external drive.
when you install to the mac copy your runtime to 
the proper directory whether its DAZ/Studio/content
or Poser/ You can also go back to your daz accounts
and switch your download preference to mac and
re-download everything.

Made a few changes Now creating cr2 file but losing all Hinging and Textures.

All moving parts are working fine with limits set
I still need to tweek a little so that it works in DAZ also
I could also Redo it so that the main structurse  are parented to the
main pody (ie: wings to body) and then parent the flaps and ailerons to
the wings and so on if that would be better.

I could have set the sterring OK but  on a sailplane it only
goes up and down.

OK figured out the hinging part with Richard Haseltine's help
I still can not get the saved object to convert to a cr2 file.     

Change the background color in Studio so that it is
close to the color of the background you are going to end up with.
or use a black background in studio.
