Thread: Still to Real program in freestuff | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
HDRider thanks. That Geometra looks like something I can use. Have you done anything with it? Outside of being somewhat complicated, what has been your experience?

Handspan* that is a super idea. I've been looking for a way to push the breasts together to create cleavage. Storm Chaser had his wondebra but that had limited application. I look forward to your release.
Thread: Know how to import Vicky into trueSpace and apply the texture successfully? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Nobody has answered your question and I'm afraid I can't either but I'm interested in purchasing truespace 5 when it comes out in the fall. One of the questions I had was about the import of Poser into that program. TS imports 3DS, Obj and DXF files amoung others but these are also export formats for Poser. I should think one of these would work.
Thread: Looking for a a good printer | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
You can't beat the new epson 1270. It has new oil based ink and printing on 13x19 at 144 p's per inch is amazing clarity and detail. I use Epsons Photo Quality Ink Jet paper for rendering and then their Premium Quality Photo paper for finished work to frame. Read up on the 1270 and compare--you'll see. Highly recommend.
Thread: First look - Supermodel Vickie | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Good job Jim. I'll buy it. One suggestion though--the muscle on the front part of the thigh seems just a little too pronounced for the rest of the figure. Tell her to lay off the leg machine in her work outs for awhile.

Thanks to all of you for your support. Cooler, when you say "poser directory" what do you mean? And, when you say d/l do you mean copy and then paste? Also why are there both an .obj and a .mtl file?
Thread: obj format export | Forum: Bryce
Damn! I wish there was a way. For some reason I find it is easier and faster to create bolean type objects and put textures on them in Bryce than in anything else--but if I can't export them--then Bryce is just a one way (dead-end) street. Damn! -Ken
Thread: poser patch | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I had exactly the same problem a few weeks ago and in frustration I uninstalled poser4 and then reinstalled it and then ran the auto version of the patch. Everything worked. It found the old file it was looking for. The main thing is that I didn't lose any of the props or stuff I had previously loaded when I did the re-install. -Ken
Thread: carrara | Forum: Carrara
Buy.com has some of the lowest software prices around. I bought my Carrara through them and I think if you go to their site you will find they have a European website that may have prices in Euro's.
Thread: Poser 4.0.2 Upgrade - Did anyone find it tricky? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Finally...I got it installed...but...what I ended up doing was to uninstall Poser, then re-install so the "old file" was the same one that the run-time patch version wants to see. Then I installed the runtime version of the patch. It worked easily and automatically....and...I didn't loose any of my victoria stuff which I thought I would have to reload. To make sure I have the patch version running, per Curious Labs, I went into "my computer" to the Poser file and did a right click on the poser.exe, then down to properties and then clicked the version tab and according to Curious, if it shows 4.02 then it has been successfully patched. It did so now I'm back in business, I hope. Thanks to all of you especially picnic/cooler!
Thread: Poser 4.0.2 Upgrade - Did anyone find it tricky? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks Diane. The patch contains a runtime folder (Geometries, Libraries, Plugins, Prefs, scripts) and then Asifont, Asifont.map, Asiport rsr, poser, and poser.rsr. The Poser program file has all these as well. So I see what needs to be replaced. Now, how do I go about getting the patch into the poser program file? Do I delete the corresponding program files and then copy the patch files into their place?? If so how do I do that?

Thanks. I hope you stay with us through this. It sounds like it is getting more complicated than I'm comfortable with. I'll be back after I see what I can do.
