Never seen so an amazing config !
(except Mec4D's [see her on YouTube] and her 4x Nvidia TitanX monster). Best wishes.
Thread: Rotate cameras around selcted item? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Personally I rotate only on a single plane. Using a Möbius-Strip for cameras is much too hard for me. Usually I use a simple hidden plane, attach the camera to it, then rotate it.
Malus: Some cheaters I know, use to rotate the ligts-rim and the cameras-ring in opposition. They tell saving 50% of frames count for time-lapse effect!

Hello,
I tried this morning, but apparently the reset didn't work, the item is still over the limit.
Please reconsider, thanks.

Thanks for the info, nocontrol, despite I havn't personally the required level to follow this course profitabily, I was interested to see that renderman comes to a larger public. freiendly, Locussolus.
Thread: Looking for a Make Your Own HDRI Tutorial | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Quote - I've messed around with multiple distant lights and some spot lights, and intensity, and color...Still looks like something is missing.
Looks like, on contrary, that there are too many things: HDRI works well as a single light system. Sorry, I've no time just now to get tutorial links around here (there are lots!) , but I shall try to come back with. I was like you a month ago, and I can tell you in advance that it''s a famous trip.
Immediate tuto:
Some additional points:
-prepare yourself to spend rendering duration times multipied by ten (at least).
-IBL-HDRI lighting works fine with externals, less easily with interiors, and could be really decieving for portraits if managed by clumsy beginners.
-never try to produce your own HDRI-s, tools for doing that exist, but are not still friendly enough. But they are coming soon, just wait for some weeks for that.

Thread: A4 Test | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Hello L&G, sorry for "walking in the soup dishes" (a french expression I'm unable to translate, but i'm sure you will understand) just to say INCOGNITAS, I love you render, its so lovely crafted and ligthened with so nice softness and poetry that I can't imagine you feel somewhere wrong with the AIKO figure, who is an absolute must in the 3D world. I store your picture in my "watch just before sleeping" directory. friendly, LocusSolus.
Thread: 32Bit vs 64Bit | Forum: Carrara
Quote - Well i have a quad core intel extreme PC, and it just smokes- but running XP64 pro i find P7 to be VERY unstable- it crashes totally at random after deciding that whatever PZ3/cr2 im working on is unacceptable- then after a few days it forgets the taboo on that particular figure and i can use it again.
since this does not happen on my laptop with P7 and XP32 i can only assume it is the OS. it's driving me friggin crazy
After 3 days of dicuss with some vendors and friends on a french forum, I heard exactly the same song. They all come to vista 64 in dual boot. Asking for the best config I could find for my limited means of money, we made a little test (not a real bench): A nice cat with very hairy coat under Lightwave:
Thread: 32Bit vs 64Bit | Forum: Carrara
Martial: Thanks for this very interssant link, undestandable by a non english speaker, which is unusual in the "hardware worls". As a beginner in 3D I came here to get some help with software turmoils, but never could imagine that I could kept safe from hours of forthcoming hair pulling when changing my old PC within few weeks. Thread: Re-loading DAZ and importing old files? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Sorry, Ladies and Gentlemen, it's me again, I have read this topic twice from the beginning to the end, and found that very interesting and instructive. but,
2) the only one Character I have bought for this moment at DAZ is aelwen's Vanessa for V4, a very nice character, who came in a bundle containing, sold together, Vanessa + Vanessa dress. And I was surprised to see that the caracter's installers put files (figure, morphs, textures...) in a certain directories, and the dress from the same bundle installed its own morphs, mats, props, textures in directories completely different. I think it's willingfull, there could not be another explanation. As you have perhaps noticed, there is quite no new vendors/products remaining at DAZ. It seems they have all shifted elsewhere.
I just wanted to thank you, and to say at last: when you have no longer problem somewhere, just make a step forward, and soon you will get back your dear worries. For me these have the name of CARRARA.
