Here's "my world in a rain-drop" certainly a sense of scale.

I do so enjoy a challenge. ;-D

I love a challenge. Brain working overtime. Do I have something in my collection, or will I have to go out and find something? Hmmmm.
This one is more about perspective, but there is a person down there to give a small sense of scale.

Thanks folk. I like the challenge. And everyone sees something different, so diverse. :-)

The subject is a knitted shawl with coloured metalic threads woven into black mohair. I let my camera focus fall just a little as I opened then closed the shutter. I think this is what cosmic rain might look like. :-)

For my next entry... ah, turning around and looking back inland, this is one of our foreshore sculptures. I'm sure it has a name, but I couldn't find it. A tube made of copper tubes, very well matched with the palm trees around it.

First for me, a fairly common subject for my city of Cairns, Australia. But always worthy of another shot...or two...hundred. ;-)

Thank you.
As I mentioned, I'm getting used to Win 7, it aint easy when you're my age. (or any age it seems) ;-) Also getting ready for our season of shows and exhibitions here in Cairns Aus.
I'm involved on several levels in several groups...that aint easy either. Hey, but it keeps the little grey cells working. ;-)

OK, question answered. The first site, by Eric Kim, says about all I want to know.
As far as I'm aware there is no law in Australia about street photography, but, litigation seems to be a new world-wide passtime. I'll take my photos and wait to see if I get sued. Now...who was it that said all publicity is good publicity? ;-)

I'll get to some of those websites when I have more time...ha ha ha
I do have a concern though about using photos of unknown people. If they are just part of the landscape it doesn't bother me but if I want to use a shot that shows someone's face quite clearly, do I need a "release form" or something? I've wanted to ask this question for some time and was ging to go to Morguefile or some other upload/download site because I remember there was some discussion on the subject, ...about ten years ago....

Great photos everyone, I like the grindstone too, I'd like one in my garden. I wanted to take a photo of a windmill but we were out driving and couldn't stop for the traffic. :-( Maybe next time.
