Thread: Photoshop vs PaintShop........ Oppinions PLEASE?!?!?!?! | Forum: Photoshop
Fully agreed with Alpha there, the bottom line is... What do you want to use it for ? I would also go with Slynky "if price is not an issue, get photoshop" definitely. Some other nice features in Photoshop include the text editing capabilities, preset manager, and the actions. And of course there are a mutlitude of resources, tuts, and support on the net for Photoshop, definitely more than for PSP. Granted, most of the stuff done in PS, can probly be done in PSP too, but with greater difficulty, and more effort. In my opinion, PSP7 is about the equivalent of Photoshop 4. But as you know Photoshop is the industry standard... surely there must be a reason for that ? :)
Thread: Help please. PS crashed, and on reinstall get this error message | Forum: Photoshop
I can see the problem here, that u cant get into PS to change the settings. The best I can suggest is to try locate the prefs file or an ini, cfg, or similar, and try to trash that to reset the options, or edit it if possible. I know under PS Ver.6 in win2k the prefs file is stored under "C:Documents and SettingsusernameApplication DataAdobePhotoshop6.0Adobe Photoshop 6 SettingsAdobe Photoshop 6 Prefs.psp" hopefully if you trash that it will reset the options. Otherwise you could try copying the file from someone else and overwrite yours. IF you can remember how u set the scratch disks, the best is to try create at least 100-200MB of freespace on those drives, maybe it will start up. Hope this helps :)

Yeeha !! the patch fixed my prob. She works fine now, but still looks rather bland, coz i can't yet figger out how to do all the texturing of the eyes, and those big ugly 'plastic' eyebrows. (what are they for anyway ) Hiram, as far as I can see, CL only has the 4.0.3 patch out, and it is available for the mac too. This should take you straight there: http://www.curiouslabs.com/products/poser4/html/poser4EnglishUpdater.html Fanx again for the help guys !! :) Off to search for Vicky2 texture tutorials... ;)

PS. I don't know if this has anything to do with Poser4 or Windows2000 SP2, which is my current OS. Knowing Microsoft, it wouldn't surprise me.. hehe. :)

Ok guys ! Thanx a million for all the help & tips. :) I found the problem... it was a set of 9 freeware plugins I got off the Computer Arts magazine's cover CD... I think they might have been only for the mac, but as soon as I removed them, everything was 100%. And as for buyng a G4 ?? Not on my salary.. hehehe... Thanx guyz ! Luthor :)
Thread: Conforming clothing that doesn't ?? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanx Strangechilde As you might have guessed, I am a beginner myself, so I think I'll pass up on the magnets & stuff for now, sounds a bit creepy to me still. Thanx for clarifying that PhilC ! :) Is there any such a piece of clothing that would fit Posette without too much magnetic influence ? ;) I really like this wrap-style clothing, and would like to do a historical sort of image if only I can find one that fits nicely. Jackson, as I have noted in my original post, the conform command messes up everything.. hehe. Thanx guyz ! Luthor :)

Thanx Wizard I actually used the wrap by PhilC from the freestuff galleries, does that not fit on the P4 woman ?? I have noticed that not even the standard clothes in poser itself fit any of the models properly, and they don't even conform half accurate to different poses... is this a bug in the program ??? Ta. Luthor :)

Ta,Cozmic ! Holler Holler Holler !!!! LOL Yup, I thought of that one too,(sfc.exe) I did replace the dll with the original one, but unfortunately that didn't do it for me... I'm thinking it might be hardware ? OK, so far I have tried everything you kind folks suggested with no luck, I'll probably just learn to live with it, coz I am now fed up with windows, and seriously addicted to caffeine, nicotine, and I'm thinking of something stronger... LOL Fanx a 10e+6 to all u luvly peeples !! Luthor :)
