Appollo isn't new to me. It should have been clear in the product description that this uses a CR2 and to look in the figure folder instead of the pose to use this. There wouldn't have been any misunderstanding. Most characters are found in the "pose" section of poser. Not to many characters around made like this. This could have happened with "any" figure.

I couldn't get the script to work. Though I tried. I'm not sure what I did wrong. Thank you for the Scripts anyway, PJF. HUGS Maria
Thread: ebots | Forum: Community Center
I agree, I've been swamped with tons of ebots that aren't from my favorites. I do hope this is fixed soon. I have a hard enough time keeping up with my FAv's never mind getting tons of other ebots and having to sift through them to find my favs. I rather come to the gallery to do that then to have to be stuck with tons of ebots.
That's my two cents!

I don't like having to "click" on a image "again" to see the image at the size and quality that the artist originially posted it and find it a waste of my time to have to keep on clicking just to see the original image. And the solution seems not a solution at all. Why then I'll have to upload the image twice, using more of my system recourses and also using more of rendo's bandwidth. Not such a great solution.
What I really want is the "option" to chose to not have the resized versions of the images, to begin with. I'd much rather upload the artists original posted image in the first place than have to click again and wait for the image to upload for a second time.
Well, I said my two-cents worth now I'm crawling back into my hole.

Hey, that's fine. I think you have some good ideas here. I know writing can be misunderstood sometimes. :) Perhaps people misconsture my tone? LOLOL I'm cool. Hugs Maria

LOLOL Gosh, you take yourself way to serious. And as for picking judges with only good reviews and by the amount of comments and rankings I think that's wrong. WHY: because there are a lot of great artists on rendo who's work is over-looked. Why I don't know but it happens all the time. Maybe they just don't comment enough on other's work? I don't know but it happens. :( Maybe I took such offense because of the tone of your message. You need to chill out man. It's only a contest. I'm sure everyone does the best they can. Yeah, maybe I bitched but now with time and hindsight and yeah that little thread you hated so much... (It came across that way.) I can see it from a different perspective now. They did their best. EVEN if I disagree with some of their choices. You take care and relax. Maria

Oh, gosh, the next contest hasn't even started yet! Anyway, you may not have liked what the people chose in that thread, but I think it was a great example of how differently each of us thinks. And shows how subjective everything is. AND really it made me feel much better to view what others thought. And since we all liked most different images, I think it worked out well to help understand the judging proccess and who won. Worked for me. Anyway, it seems your pretty unhappy with the way things are judged. Why don't we see what happens before. It seems Lillian is working hard to take everything into consideration and does change things with each contest to try and make them better. I think she deserves a standing ovation for trying so hard to please us all, which is an impossible feat. So who do you think are pillars of the community with artwork that is admired? Sort of insults the majority here at rendo. You take care and have a happy New year. Maria

I don't know how to do links so I'm just putting the urls to the ones I thought had a good chance. 3D number 11 http://www.renderosity.com/contest.ez?contest_id=607 I thought it was sweet and well done. 3D number 200 http://www.renderosity.com/contest.ez?contest_id=607&ShowQuestion=19159 I thought this one was well done and I liked how they had the meaning of christmas in the card and the lovely ornements to add a present touch. I liked this one too. It seemed to embodie past present and future. http://www.renderosity.com/contest.ez?contest_id=607&ShowQuestion=19262 This one number 3D15 I thought was adorable and had such a maigcal quality. I looked for one that meant family togetherness and sharing and at the moment couldn't find one. I will look again later. I think the images all were really well done. And me I put mine in the wrong catagory. LOL And I really had a lot of mistakes but that was because at the very last minute I decided to enter something and knew that it was far from par. LOL So tell us what ones you liked imahater. I think it's a wonderful way to wind down from a contest. Also this shows how differently we all think and what we like. :) Thank you. Hugs Maria

ProFock81, I didn't even look at the animation. (Shame faced) LOLOL Yours was fantastic. And I really enjoyed it. I couldn't look at first place though because something about it didn't agree with my quicktime player. :( Anyways so glad that you won 3rd place and Congratulations. I'm pretty much over this and seeing that you won made my day. I don't dwell on things I had my say and that was the end of it for me. I think yours was outstanding and I'm going to look at the rest of the animation if my computer and the programs allow. I admit I only looked at the 3D. I still think if they can have a "Most Humorous" or "Best Landscape" for Christmas they could have added something for the people who celebrate the real meaning of Christmas. :) In the 3D catagory only Santa, snowmen and Christmas tree and presents won. Such a shame. :) All the artist did a fantastic job and they did what was in their hearts and their beliefs. I guess that's the future of Christmas. You take care and have a Merry Christmas. Hugs Maria

I just noticed that any religious Christmas entries were discrimanated against. There is NONE that got even a mention. I think that's a really big travisty since Christmas is actually a religous holiday and not Santa clause and presents. That's just a wonderful side effect of all the religions. Wow! That is a big bummer. So sad. I'm writing to Bill O'reily and saying even christmas contests are agianst religions now! I'm actually half kidding about the Bill O'reily bit because he is always saying that there is a war against religion in Christmas.
Okay, maybe I'm carrying on but I would have liked to have seen something other than Sana clause.
I think it's a shame.
Maria
I'm sorry but I've had a bad week and maybe I'm over focused here and taking things out on here. But I think it's too bad what they did here.

PS. REnderosity also ripps off the merchants. Come on 50% of the profits is rediculours. Without the merchants renderosity would be nothing. They work their tails off to bring people great products. I dearly wish that somewhere else would come along and give the merchants their due. The only reason I buy stuff from here is because I feel bad for them otherwise I'd just say the heck with it. The people are what keep me but I'm hoping someday someone will come up with something better and people will go there instead of to this place. Maria whose very disgusted with this place and its politics.

JLyons, I agree with you about the results. I think it's down right wrong the way they do these things. Already a lot of great Artists won't enter contests because the fareness just isn't there. I feel bad for the ones who really had great art and didn't get mentioned or anything. Somehow that just seems like crap. I think it's really about whose butt you kiss. Not about art at all. So why the heck enter? Anyway, I guess I'm a sour grape too. Of course anyone who speaks their mind is labeled that way. To say your disappointed in the politics at renderosity is somehow a bad thing to those who just like to kiss butt. Congratulations to the winners. Maria

Well, where is my entry in this list here. I'm not part of the top 25. Boo hoo!!! Sniff sniff. I worked hard on my entry. Granted I didn't spend weeks and weeks but I'm not on your list! Seriously, I understand what you're saying and these are outstanding images. I really thought most of these would go in the top 25. I had them on my list to vote for. But some I sort of disagree with but others, I think you're right on the mark. Rember I only had one vote and that had to go where I thought it should go. I really think we all should have had three votes. :( This is an argument that is unwinnable. The best we can do is wait and see and hope for the best ones to win. Big Hugs Maria

I'm going to agree with all here. LOL I do wish I never entered this contest. I didn't realize it would be so insane and it's actually more disgoraging than anything else. I did other contests where it was judged by judges and I didn't mind losing at all because I knew the contest was fare. But this way it makes you feel sort of disgoraged and bad about things. I wish I could pull my two images out. All this fuss isn't even worth it. I'd rather post them for my own pleasure. I'm lucky though I didn't spend weeks and weeks on my images. I don't even think I desrever to win anything. But there are others that have put a lot of time and it really shows in their images. They play fare and don't ask their friends or family to vote for them. I think they are the ones who are hurt in this community vote. Emerald spider is right though about feeling proud of the image. I think we all should feel proud if we did our best. You can't lose in that respect. It's the popularity contest that really hurts. The image I voted for I honestly thought out before I voted. I had about 20 images that I really loved. I wish I was rich because I'd give them all a prize myself. LOL Well, this is the last time I enter something like this. There's to much fuss and baggage with this sort of contest. That's my two cents and I'm sticking with it. :P Cheer up. At least next time we can avoid a contest like this and sit blissfully happy with our images and viewing our gallerys. Maria LOLOL
