Thanks for choosing my photo "Sunrise in the Bay" for the gallery.
I just saw the message today and was very suprised to see this selected amongst so many highly talented photographers. it must be difficult deciding which ones to pick.

Thanks cynlee. The sunset picture is part of the original pic taken, some touch ups made, but no isn't the composite.

Interesting to know jcv2. I guess this is why the outer rim of the rainbow is the most intense part as the inner reflections traverse through each other to the outer rim? When I 1st look at the image I see more rainbows than can be seen a few seconds later as the brain tryes to null them out thinking it is a banding/strobe affect.

3d guy, Very true. I almost always see the second rainbow which was also present during this one this morning though it was much higher and out of view of this shot. I managed to capture both in video format. Though never before have I seen banding like this one, just lucky to be in the right place at the right time. Thanks for your comments

I hope this is still in theme being a refractionary process with reflections, otherwise, if not, can I remove this entry?

Thanks for the tips, I will read up some more about composition. Generaly I am guided by my intuition and not rules, so you will probably find I am a little abstract to the norm and certaintly outside the text book rules. I gauge shots by the reactions produced in people of today, they want something different, they like light and colour so these are the elements I like to bring together in a slightly surreal tone. If the scene has a feel that I am looking for then click. I do plan the shots though most of my work goes in the postal stuff. All the same there is always room for much improvement. Thanks again! Peace and Light
