The zip appears to be corrupt. You should probably re-up it to your site. Looks very nice.

Thread: Any Tolkien fans who can help me out? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
As PDBLAKE stated, Feanor's emblem is on the back cover of The Silmarillion. You should be able to find versions on some of the Tolkien web sites. However, the ships he used were stolen from the Elves of Alqualonde whose emblem was the swan. Any maritme emblem would be appropriate though. The dragon is not. Dragons were created later by Melkor & would not be used as an emblem by any Elves. :) Keep at it... its getting there.
Thread: Thieft... PLEASE READ!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Jack, you might want to check my post in the previous thread on this topic. Zygote isn't the only company he's ripped off. Amazing 3D, Viewpoint... get some other hitters behind you. He's stealing from all of them.
Thread: As 3D artist we all lose..... | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Jack, you can probably recruit some allies in the modelling community if you need to go after this a**hole. I'm sure a few of those models are from the free section of Amazing 3D http://www.amazing3d.com/free/free.html .In fact, I'll lay odds their all culled from various sample sections. They ALL look familiar. They've just been converted to Max format. Post a notice to all the better model sites & I bet this jerk will be gone in a week. And broke.
Thread: End of the road for graphics at Metacreations | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Personally, though I think MetaStream is a great product (if flawed... but that's Meta's norm - too many artists as opposed to technicians), this is risky. If they think they're going to go head to head with Macromedia they'll lose. But, when faced with losing 40+ mill a quarter... Don't like it, but....
Thread: What is a bone? Query re Lightwave .LWS-ese | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
A bone is just that. It is a non-rendering, null reference object used in the layout portion of Lightwave to set bending, rotation etc. IE. An imaginary bone within the mesh to define movement. Poser uses a variation of this with regard to joint parameters etc. only based directly on the objects geometry. There is no quick way to convert from one to the other and retain anything other than a static mesh that you'de have to make Poser ready. 3DWinOGL is the Open GL version of 3DWin. It provides an Open GL graphic view of the model while 3DWin doesn't show you the model. A long way to say theres no easy fix. Morbid
Thread: Setting JP Angles... Help! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Heya BS. Aside from the fact that your not working along a set axis (something that poser is not alone in disliking), the difficulty you face is that each "finger" or "fan" is dependant upon two other parts in terms of hierarchy. The membrane parts ideally depend on their respective "fingers" and the next one over. The central hand can mean a third parent for one object. I've been working on different solutions for a while... so far the only workable solution (barely!) is some very elaborate morph targets for the whole wing. But maybe one of the savants has come up with a better idea... :) Drop me an e-mail, bud.

The patches usually occur from one of two things: 1) The polygon is flipped (even when double-sided you can get a black area - go figure) 2) The polygon doesn't exist - if it was on the figure and not the prop I'd say this is the culprit. There are some pretty stupid "holes" on a few of the Poser figures Nice image at any rate.
Thread: New Superheroine Costume - Comments/Suggestions | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ohhhh ahhhh!! Very, very nice. I have only one small critique: the strap that runs from her right breast across to her left shoulder doesn't seem to evidence enough tension considering her... uh, ampleness. Its a very minute point in a beautiful texture. Feel free to ignore me. :) Hell, I probably would...
