"ChaosPro" is fairly nice for creating animations and has additional features for various effects, such as morphing or using layers where one fractal zooms out, the other one zooms in. Several of the animation PAR files may be downloaded from the the following location: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/chaospro/files Some other ones I use are written by Terry Gintz, such as the programs "QuaSZ" and "Fractal Zplot".Thread: help w/ fractal explorer... | Forum: Fractals

Under the menu of OPTIONS, you should be able to change the SIZE of each image's resolution to whatever you choose. And under the same menu, the PREFERENCES has a popup window to allow many specific settings to be made. Under the tab for 'Spots and Images', if the Antialiasing is checked to be ON as the default, then the saved image size will be half of whatever you set when rendering at a particular resolution. I use the default setting for an anitaliasing option. :-) Good luck on learning the use of Fractal Explorer.Thread: Any Fractal animators out there? | Forum: Fractals

If your mentioing of the KPT and Bryce use refers to the statistical webpage at: http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/Most_Used_Counts.html then this is not the number of people that ONLY use those products. The 'Fractal Census' has two categories for each individual listed: one for all the programs they have tried and use, and another for the one that they use the most (another words what they prefer and think is best). The stats listed at the above link show that second category, and not the only users as you seem to think. That is why it has the title of "Most Used Counts". ;-} And KPT2, KPT3, KPT5 are all capable of generating fractal images, and are collectively referred to as "KPT" (when I do not know the particular version that someone uses. And just because a few images have comments (or ratings) from the same group of a dozen or so individuals praising each other all the time, does not mean that those same images have been viewed by more people who are interested in seeing something 'more popular'. ;-} There are several fractal related forums that have a predominate clique which tend to extol and exalt each other with admiration, rarely expressing the same approval and commendation to those outside of their exclusive group. The fractal forum here at Renderosity is no different. Perhaps you should not believe that the ostracizing of specific people does not ake place within mankind. ;-}Thread: The best for fractals? | Forum: Fractals

Oh, I well understood your answer... That is why I mentioned "this one single forum". See I know that the various forums are mostly groups of individuals that use a specific program. And only if an individual goes to all of the various forums and asks the same question will it even begin to get close to a truthful answer as to what fractal generator is more popular. For example, on Yahoo's Fractal-World group the most seen type of images are from XenoDream. And at one time, the most seen type of images on the alt.binaries.fractal-art Usenet Newsgroup were from the Fractal Explorer program. So what is popular on "one single forum" does not tell someone what is the best. And by directing them in such a manner is basically misleading them intentionally. :-) Besides, so far as I have seen, this is what over 2,150 people say they use the most: http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/Most_Used_Counts.htmlThread: The best for fractals? | Forum: Fractals

Hello, Andreas K. Lober. You must have misunderstood the original question. They were not interested in what this one single forum has in the various ways of viewing posted images. They wanted to know about fractal programs. And there really is no one program that is the best over all others, because so many have something special to offer that another does not. That is why it depends on what an individual is wishing to do in the way of fractal generation.Thread: What can I do with this image???? | Forum: Fractals

Hello, Alberto Negri !! What is best depends on what you want to do and what types of fractals you are wishing to create. If you want to know what over 2,150 people prefer using, then some statistics may be found at this URL: http://home.att.net/~Paul.N.Lee/Most_Used_Counts.html +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ SHORT AND SIMPLE: The fractal related newsgroups get a lot of requests regarding fractal information. The following is by no means an exhaustive listing. (For the exhaustive list see the next section of this document.)
