Try the hardware accumulation buffer instead? I know messing around with the preview tab sorted out my problems. Also, a search of the forums from, say, 400+ days ago will probably bring up for info about it.

I do remember havings problems like constant crashing when I first installed P7. Turns out it was fixed by messing with the preview tab in the render settings (I do apologize in advance if I'm very vague. I'm at Uni and my laptop can't handle Poser). The link above is what I found to work for me.Thread: what hair is this? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL

I bought a 1.5TB Seagate drive about a month ago, and so far haven't had any problems at all with it. In fact, it runs quieter and cooler than a 250GB Buffalo one from about 4-5 years ago. I'd still recommend a Seagate, even though Acadia had bad luck with hers.

Having a different render engine won't make a jot of difference if you don't know how to use the tools. A bad render is a bad render whether it's in Poser 6, Carrara or Maxwell. Rather than spend money on another program, learn to use the tools you have available to you.

Quote - Okay, I've tried doubling RayBias on Ambient Occlusion for Template Skin, and that didn't solve the issue either.
This is really weird... I'll try reloading the texture again (a pain, because I've done mix 'n' match with the eyes, but oh well).
If you're using the default light set that Poser loads with (which it looks like), then it's probable that the artifacts are caused by depth-mapped shadows instead.

TrekkieGrrrl: The reduced rez V4 is already available with the DAZ|Studio download as a 17k version, as well as a 4k, 2k and 1k version.

Well, I for one would be interested in the low-res version! Like others have mentioned, largely as a "clone" when doing hair and cloth simulations, or in external programs where I can have live subdivisions to help smooth things out.
Thread: M4 daz skin is overly red in renders | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
If it's the same as V4, then it happens because there is a dark red colour in the ambient channel in the material room. The problem is that the ambient channel is not influenced by any lighting in the scene - it just glows no matter what. To solve it, you just need to change the ambient colour to a black instead.

I thought WinRAR could do that? Just select which files you want unzipping, right click and then Extract To... and select the location. It's always worked for me.

The problem would be trying to add hair from the poses folder - depending on the hair, try either the hair or character folder. Pose folders are generally reserved for changing hair colours.

Sainsbury and Tesco may take some, but I highly doubt they have the capacity to take all 27,000. At the moment, every business seems to be concentrating on trying to reduce costs. My store is currently under-staffed and main office has told the manager to cancel at least 100 hours of overtime, since we're £36,000 over-budget. It seems like they're just going to drop any extra staff and then run the ones that are left into the ground. My job is only really safe because I work late nights and weekends (the unsociable hours =D), and I'm one of only a few over-18s.

I'm like you - reserved, quiet and definitely NOT a good speaker (if I have two words in my head, BOTH will try and come out at once), but I also work as a checkout assistant in a supermarket, which means talking to customers every day. Was I really equipped for it? Not when I started. Does it get easier with practise? Yes.
