LW refers to Lightwave which is a 3D modeling/animation program from Newtek. ( like Maya and 3ds studio max)

Thanks Warlock, downloaded Blender 2.49b, unfortunately it won't run on Mac OS Catalina. I'll try exporting it from Modeler. I don't really want to use LW's UV mapper feature, I just need to be able to convert from LWO to OBJ so it can be used with a third party UVMapper such as Headus UV Layout.

Thread: Poser 2012 - Please locate "NO_MAP" | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'd like to thank everyone for their assistance with this issue, it is very much appreciated. I'd also like to give a personal thanks to Wimvdb, who really went out of his way to assist me extensively via email. :)
A very appreciative and grateful,

Thread: Poser 2012 - Please locate "NO_MAP" | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
The wrestling ring is a figure, not a prop. When I designed it, I initially designed it to load untextured as I included a variety of textures and styles to choose from to apply, including a remove all textures option. As to why it loads like a black silhouette, (after I tell the dialogue box not to search for NO_MAP) is a bit concerning, it does however become visible "after" I apply a texture to it. I just found that a bit curious as it didn't do that in earlier versions of Poser (Pre 2012 version). This entire issue is not so much of a problem as it is an annoyance, and since I am a R'osity vendor, I don't want my customers to have to deal with that annoyance if at all possible.

Okay, I did as you suggested wimvdb, I no longer get that NO_MAP prompt, however a dialogue box pops up stating the following: Texture could not be loaded. Image map file could not be found, or there is not enough memory to load. After I press OK, the ring loads and it is still pitch black.

Thread: Poser 2012 - Please locate "NO_MAP" | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Okay, this file is a figure so I went to the "Characters" subfolder in the Runtime Libraries folder and checked the CR2 file. There are no entries of NO_MAP in the CR2 file, there are only "" entries. I'm feeling as though I'm missing a step here or am possibly not following the directions properly.
If it's not too much trouble, how exactly would I go about creating a null file called NO_MAP?

I've come across that "Runtime-1" situation myself so I know exactly what you're talking about. Can you elaborate on this dittoGui utility you use? It sounds like something I may be interested in trying.
Thanks.

IsaoShi - Thank you for illustrating that usage with Stuffit, it helped bring to light another problem I was encountering during expanding. I initially had the content expanding in the Runtime folder, only problem was it was creating a new "surrounding" folder so it was not properly installing, thus not visible in my library. :)
Kuladen - Thank you for informing me of "The Unarchiver". It looks to be the equivalent of Winzip on the PC, which is what I was looking for.
I'll be using all three methods (Stuffit, The Unarchiver and Posers Content Room Install from zip archive) as I prefer to have more than one method of doing things. :)
Thanks again to all three of you for your help, I really appreciate it.

Thread: Poser Mac content install question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
While I'm still very appreciative of Bagginsbill's resolution, if there is also a way to install content via "PC/winzip" manner (where you direct winzip where to unzip the content to) I would greatly appreciate it. I'm not sure whether or not there is a winzip mac version out there, but if there is a way of doing it with Mac's "Archive" program, I'm all ears.
I'm currently experimenting with stuffit to see if it'll allow me to do it this way.
Thanks again

Thread: Poser Mac content install question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Actually Bagginsbill, that helps. I was a bit thrown off initially as it defaults to sending it to a "Download" folder (I changed the path to go to the "Poser 8" folder so it would drop into the "Runtime" folder as I usually did on a PC, but that didn't work). So I tried it again and allowed it to unzip to the default "Download" folder and there it was in my library!
Thanks for help, I really appreciate it. :)

First off TrekkieGrrrl, I wasn't snapping at anyone. IMO the response was laced with a bit of sarcasm and I responded accordingly. Whether or not it was only he truly knows, if I misinterpreted his response, then he has my sincerest apologies. My intention IS and ALWAYS was to install the SR1 and hotfix, PhilC just happened to address my issue before I got around to it.
As for your provocative and unnecessarily inane "whining" comment, it's not even worth the effort of a response. Regardless, you have yourself a nice day.

Bagginsbill, no need to debug as PhilC immediately identified and helped resolve the problem.
Thanks however for taking the time to state the obvious.
