Midinick,
If you purchased the item from DAZ, it should still be sitting in your Product Library, just that it will have "(inactive)" next to the name. The DSON version -should- be part of it as well.Â
(Seriously, I got stuff I purchased way back in the Paleozoic Era, and I can still download it anytime.)

Yep - backups are your best friend. Almost 25 years' worth of stuff, and you bet your sweet {insert beast of burden here} that I have multiple backups, all of which run by Task Scheduler and/or cronjob - to external drives, and to external servers (I have an Intel NUC on my home network, rigged with a couple of very fat USB3 hard drives that pulls backups from critical network shared folders on our devices every night - the NUC and drives are in a ventilated box. In an emergency, I can grab the box and go, and have all my stuff. The time delay is in case someone's laptop gets compromised by malware, then I can disconnect the NUC and keep the data safe.)
Yep - after a couple of very close calls over the years, I'm kinda paranoid about that sort of thing.

I didn't know that a passing interest in what I thought was a tool to help make better sprites and levels for twitch games would become a near 25-year hobby.Â
I say this with amazement, happiness, and a touch of sadness. The latter because I can see AI transcending the use of the tools that I can now use by muscle-memory, and a time where all these investments over the years become as so much dust...

Meh - I already have one there (here). I wanted to see if this one fell victim to the same BS, or if he/she was only hitting the ancient threads.
Thread: Poser forum unuseable | Forum: Community Center
I only noticed when my email got crap-flooded with notifications.Â
At least you informed me of more than I originally knew (by the time I got to see what it was all about, the posts were gone.)Â I'm guessing it's some idiot on a bender, then?
Thread: Poser Dev Team is Hiring | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
So, getting back to the topic...
I noticed that the PTB is apparently expecting someone to move to Tennessee. Umm, that's an immediate no-go.
Lemme tell you what I have to deal with as a hiring management type, when it comes to software devs and engineers...
Some advice:Â
* Drop the relocation/onsite demand if you have one, or at least make it clear you will hire for hybrid/remote work. Software devs/engineers can easily expect to work 100% remote these days. A quick browse through LinkedIn or any of the job sites show a demand for software devs where the majority of companies hiring offer 100% remote work - and half of the rest offer hybrid work environments if they're in a major tech hub (West Coast examples: Silly Valley, Portland Metro, Seattle.) If you expect a dev to come into the office every day, let alone -move- to BFE, Tennessee, just for a job? Well, I got really bad news for you, unless you're scary-lucky, or you get someone who doesn't really know what they're doing.
* Hope you're offering enough. You may want to put up a range so nobody gets their time wasted. For a decent developer that close to the metal (C/C++ is a lot closer to it than Python), expect to shell out a range of at least $180k-250k/yr DOE (it can go way higher out here on this coast - a FAANG engineer can rake in up to $320k or more DOE.)Â
* May want to make a couple of changes... Change "Primary Software" to "Primary Languages", so an applicant who knows what they're doing doesn't immediately think that you don't know what you're talking about. Try something like this:
Primary Language: C/C++
Secondary Languages: Python, Visual C++
*Â XCode is an IDE, not a language, and "GPU Rendering" is a concept, not a software package.Â
* UX/UI and back-end should have clear and constant communication (and a Lead should be doing that), but the phrase "Working closely with QA and other engineers to ensure a great user experience" is clunky, and leads to confusion about who has UX responsibility. Clarify that, so that you can set better expectations for the Lead (and more importantly, his team) as being Front-End, Back-End, or Full-Stack (assuming Full-Stack since you likely have a small team like DAZ does - this leads me to...)Â Â
* Given the small shop, you're likely Full-Stack. Many devs tend to differentiate these days between front-end/UI and back-end. May want to mention the range that the lead can expect to cover.
I got other nitpicks, but I don't really want to go into the weeds (and while I'm not directly competing with you for devs since I'm in Java/React/NodeJS for the most part these days, I'm not one to pull up the kimono all the way, y'dig? ;) )Â
Good luck...

Thread: Does P 11 run on Linus with Wine? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Neither Poser or DAZ Studio run on Linux natively...
Not sure about P11, but here's what the WINE devs know about Poser's compatibility:Â https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=115
(Last time I tried it was in 2004... it worked for the most part, but it was more than a little touchy back then. Hoping that 18 years may have improved things a bit for you... good luck!)

Me too. Even at the hobbyist level, a little sub-D and some asset conversions, and it's like you have a whole other figure.

"The few remaining Poser users will not make so much traffic that such a thing would be unaffordable."
It's shocking how many people have left.
Some just lurk. On occasion. When the mood strikes. Or when it's time to dredge through the Freebies section. You know, stuff like that.
As for the Sasha thingy? Sadly, Wayback Machine came up dry as well. I promise I'm not snarking (because I still find myself on the lookout for stray NearMe stuff online - Niseisya actually still makes stuff for it on Pixiv (look up the site Pixiv, then the name, just don't check the R-18 option unless you want to see some stuff that will definitely make you recoil in disgust. On the other hand, you find gems like MNE in there - just look for "MNE dormant" , though he's definitely not been dormant.)
Anyrate, as you were...

Intel has a massive chip fab and R&D facility in Hillsboro (the "Nehalem" product was built here - it's named after the river that incidentally flows past my backyard.) Nike HQ is in Beaverton. Genentech has a huge factory in Hillsboro, as well as First Solar, and more than a few score tech complexes. Google and Facebook have massive datacenters in The Dalles and Prineville, respectively. Puppet, New Relic, Tripwire, and a shedload of other big-names-in-IT startups and corps reside in Portland proper (though most are doing WFH still, because of certain, ah, political activities of late.) I only scratched the surface - the local boosters call it the "Silicon Forest" - a hidden gem of sorts for someone in tech.
Intel drew me out this way years ago as part of their R&D (until the R&D group I was working in died off a few years afterwards), and now I'll likely die of old age here (seriously, it's that gorgeous). It was (and in some aspects still is) like Silicon Valley, but without the snobbery, traffic snarls, and the overpriced real estate.
IIRC Dodger did freelance gigs last I checked, and I know he's got the chops, so I don't think it'll take him too long to get a new hookup.
