I think there are a few stores that specializes in just that, legacy V4/M4 figure content support.
With regards to motive of Content Creator and outlets, while I think most stores got into it for the passion of Art, sustaining the service properly over the long haul requires more than passion it takes dilligence, experience and much resources. This is because performing customer transactins, and storing and serving large file content in a secure, fast and confident manner costs alot. A secure ISP and managerd server will cost over $400 a month, not to mention store administration and other labor costs. The 3D content market is rather niche and small user base, limited to the media formats supported so advertising and other typical monitization efforts to reduce site expenses will not typically begin to cover cost. So if your passionate to keep content available for your hobby, you may need to charge _something_ for the service to help recover some of the costs. Profitibility is a high goal, break even is still tough because the price point pressure, on older compatable content is huge. Ppeople often expec it should be free or paid for the price of viewing a pop-up ad, but sadly those times burst with the .com crash and the rise of ransomeware thereafter. THAT is the greatest risk to a content host. It happens. So to stay in the game, you need to go pro or go home. That doesnt need you need to gouge, or put peoples data at risk. It means you need to charge to make it safe and legit.
Thread: A mail from Bentley/Eon | Forum: Vue
I commend Bently for the compassionate release, however I wish the patient could have been saved. Is there a possibility for the source or API to be opened to the community for further development and content store integration?
Thread: how to fix holes in the mesh in poser?, thanks in advance | Forum: Poser 13
Easy way to determine if a "hole" is real or a flipped normal, select the object mesh, in the objects parameter, PROPERTY tab, adjust dropdown selectoin for "Remove Backfacing Polygons" to "Force Show Backfacing Polygons". If the hole looks filled in the preview, you know its a flipped face normal on that polygon.
Thread: purchasing old version of Vue? | Forum: Vue
I feel ypour pain. Even if you do find a copy, It may still cost you $200 to get it activated as Bently Software charges to reactivate legacy installations. You would be better off just subscribing to the Vue Creator package by the month, as content exporters are not disabled on the non-pro versions. https://store.e-onsoftware.com/legacy-license-re-activation/
Usually once a quarter there is a 40% off sale on the annual plans.

P13 does create well. These Giraffa figures developed ENTIRELY in Poser 13 (sculpted in Z-Brush) by hand without any scripts or third party utilities. Traditionally grouped and rigged, poses achieved through parametric JP's converted to weightmap.
Thread: Poser 13 Observations | Forum: Poser 13
Soo, if Bondware was so concerned about my security that it had to take "unsafe" Python 2 out of my hands, why don't they just allow me to disable Poser 11's "phoning home" functionality so I can run it on a computer that is NOT connected to the internet at all?
I mean, what could be safer to avoid malware infection than an airgap?
Did you wear a spacesuit to avoid COVID? Lets follow the science on this <Hah, I thought I would NEVER say that!>
Most do not dedicate their PC to one stand-alone application, and that hardware would be a hefty requirement for Poser users to asorb. Python (PY) is a widly adopted, independantly developed scripting language, so Poser developers do not control the version lifecycle. Furthermore, PY is a programming language that can hook to the Windows operating system API, with or without Poser open on the PC. The Poser licence validation scheme, the "phone home" is a webservice and poses no further risk than the Internet Browser also installed on the operating system. Internet connectivity and your firewall NAT may be a necessary point of of entry, however vulnerable software can be exploiuted from air gap too, if the payload is introduced in the installed content. A PY can be installed hidden inside a zip package, in theory and a malicipous package could be introiduced any number of ways, the more obscure and manual the method the more likely it would be excused by anti-malware. Who scans thier thumbdrives everytime?

Thread: Advertising going wrong | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Makes sence that most of the banner and ads should be for the Poser Market in the Poser topic Forums. What will help drive the interest is to demonstrate the greater diversity and unique capabilities Poser in our projects. Compete with more creatitivity and Poser presents that potential better.
Very happy to see Bondware take it to the next level with PP13, and the re-integration of the content management system and storefront brings back the old feel of when Poser had the CP store embedded. Sure wish Bently catches on too, as E-On Vue is suffering big lack of interest since they dropped the C3D content store integration. Damn shame but so glad Poser has it back. The integrated PP13 content library and installation scheme from Renderosity and PoserSoftware.com is absolutely fantastic.

Thread: Question : Interested in animaitons for Poser ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Bring them on! All Poser figures including LH and LF & LF2 need more animations. Poser will import and export bhv, so any standard rigged figure Pose creations can easily be applied to DS and other rendering applications.

Development Feature Suggestion:
Central/ Bulk Parameter Lable renaming capability. USE CASE: Figure developers typically standardize the figure joint rotational parameters to common english ie: RotationX = Bend, RotationY = Twist, Rotational = Side so ability to automatically rename all joint rotation parameters to their common english equivalant based on Joint Order selection would be a real timesaver when configuring Joint Parameters but especially when transferring JP's into a modified/new figure mesh. Its common for the need to replace mesh in figure QA or product refinement where a vertex morph may inadvertantly cause polygroup seperation.
One way to acconplish this is with a checkbox option to transfer lables with JPs in the existing JP Transfer feature - that would achieve the greatest % of capability with least dev effort.
Thread: Make New Children in Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Artists, Go-Z and inflation deformer are your friends here. Its an unfortuate situation but necessary because Poser is a artist grade toolset and "Pro Figures" are anatomically accurate so children and child textures would be avoided by most content creators because of the possibility that thier IP may be associated with bad intent. So DIY is the best route for artist that way the creator controls the renders. Its too hot a third rail for the most of the artist grade content developers.
Thread: how to create content | Forum: Poser 13
Great objective, creating content for Poser and DAZ Studio is fun and very rewarding, especially when the product is refined to the point its merchandisable in one of the many 3d content stores. OK, this really needs to be a conversation so we can explore more specific objectives and goals and then hone in on the best techniques and tools to get the job done. Most generally speaking, 3d prop and figure development for DAZ and Poser starts in a 3d modeler of choice (Blender, ZBrush, 3DS MAX, Maya etc) for figures or CAD/NURBS type software for hard man-made objects. Big Tip: Ultimate UnWrap3D by bolthouse is an affordable and essential utility that is a swiss army knife fixing all sorts of import and UV/Mesh/Rig challanges and usually its an in-between step between development applications in my 3d product development pipeline. Importing the modeled Mesh and doing initial rigging and materials in Poser then exporting to DAZ is the way to go, rather than the reverse because you will face many more pitfalls and challanges with the unimesh rig used by DAZ. For higest merchandisability in the Poser markets, do adhere to the standard Poser group names and parametric rigging rather than weightmap unimesh because its not supported in the large base of older version customers, and existing clothing / poses will not apply. Also its very easy to create a unimesh version from a grouped and parametric rigged figure, but the reverse is not as easy because the mesh will not be properly sub-diveded into (poly)groups. So thats a pointer to how to proceed but there is far more to consider and I will PM some resources.
If merchandising content is a goal, then do realize each content store has its own product guidelines and specifications to meet thier standard of quality. In general, the more expensive and professional the store, the higher the quality demand is. I mention this because its a giant leap to produce for a smaller indepently operated store to a very polished store such as Renderosity and ultimately DAZ. Other general 3d content stores like CG Trader Turbosquid have very few guidelines and restriction as each artist is basically independantly represented and unsupported. RealLusion is kind of uniqie in that it incorporates 4 types of content stores each with its own level of product standards and artist support. Again, the a general assumption can be made with regard to the artist/store revenue split, where the more structured and supported the artist and product are in merchandising and marketing, the lower the share of sales will go to the artist. I will PM with some merchant resource and guidelines to get an idea of expectations by the various marketplaces.

UI, Camera Controls window; adition of parameter "control gain" as a dial or perhaps on/off button so you can then make micro (and macro?) adjustments to camera rotation and transition using the existing canera parameter dials and control icons. There are other ways to achieve similar objective for instance implementing alignment and orientation using target object or ground plane vertex node snap.
USE CASES:
Content Development - This would be especually helpful when setting joint parameter and in setup where precise alignment of joint centers to topology is achieved through camera orientation. It would also be helpful in improving morph creation precision. Artist - The feature would greatly aid scene creation effeciency by improving the speed and precision one can tile and orient props in scene.
