Case closed!:) Thanks for all!!!! -Antti-Thread: WIP: deeper into jungle | Forum: Bryce
Thanks.. valuable opinions... how you guys do the rendering.. I mean what kind of setting you usually use? I'm poor at adjusting optimized render settings:( This little monster will take like 5h with normal render, res. 1300x800... 1 day with superfine (4rays), res. bit bigger...

heh I guess i can't explain it well:D The pale green backgroung cube there in the right is just what we'll see in this working environment. After the final render I'll cut that few useless cm off. judyk: yes.. i think i'll place something to lower right and very front... adds more depth and so:)

I've been using Bryce for few years now and I really love it!! Simple to learn the basics but still so much to discover and I can't wait to have my new PC. Maybe then I could finally use some more detailed lighting and so and improve my renderings:) In school we started to study 3Dmax now because it'll be our primary tool. And within this few weeks I've been using it all the time I miss Bryce:) Max seems so difficult and... boring? But I can't deny that it's much powerful in some areas than Bryce. I personally love Bryce because I want to create more epic scenes and landscapes... I don't have patience to model fork&spoon vertex by vertex, polygon by polygon:) With Bryce I think you really need to know some photoshopping.. but then you can create still images as good as with any other apps. But it's sucks that everyone basically laughs at me because I'm the only brycer in my class:P Oh God.. give me strength to carry on on my chosen path!

More details needed of what you want to achieve:) But here's how I made one of my latest works.. check out the lights fromn that wireframe link. The whole scene is placed inside of a giant tunnel and as you can see from the columns the sun light is coming behind the back. There at the far end is just haze/fog... then it's good to place lights to bring out wanted details more. In that scene I used just few spotlights near the fire and that far wall. Remember that negative light values are also very handy:) And to achieve the final result (in my gallery) I adjusted levels and stuff in Photoshop... also added some dim light rays using difference clouds-->radial blur-->blending technique because my laptop can't handle volume lights straight in Bryce... In outdoor landscape like my latest one "Redhorn Pass" all I did was placing the sun.. no additional lights. I hope this gave some help and ideas:) -Antti-Thread: The Bryster gets his revenge!!!! | Forum: Bryce
Ooooh I see... so that kind of story... I thought there might be something like that happened. Thanks Chohole and now it's easy to agree: Sue again!!!
