Here is how Mendy sorted out the same problem for me, after clicking checkout select payment options, then on next screen also click payment options again and then on the next screen you will see confirm order.

to recap, checkout,payment options,payment options, confirm order.

I was not clicking on the payment option twice, I was stuck in the loop because I kept trying my luck with the cart again, just like your email to me said, thanks for sorting it ( or rather me ) out. LOL

P.S so glad I didnt say I was having a blonde moment
