Is there a folder like this for Poser 6? I can't find one. I started having the same problem, Poser starts to load and then right when it's about to open up to the default scene, it crashes to the desktop. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, but it still does it. My last defrag was probably two months ago, and the computer itself has never been hooked up to the net. I've never had an issue with P6 like this before.

That would be great, I hope you're right.
Here are two of his papers dealing with the methods involved:

It's similar to photogrammetry, but often only a single image is used. You'll take a picture, from a camera/matte painting/whatever, and then project that image through your 3d camera onto untextured geometry in your scene. The idea is to create geometry that is essentially a sillhouette(s) of all the different elements in the scene. Unless there are reflective/transparent surfaces, you won't need anything more than just your image loaded in the texture/diffuse channel, as all your highlights/bumps/etc are essentially already baked in.
While you don't have as much detail as you will if you model everything traditionally, you can still achieve good results as long as you don't swing the camera around too much.
Just search for camera mapping on Youtube for some examples.

Try checking the different boxes for sampling in your shader (it reads something like gaussian, summed area, etc I think). It may help.

Thank, Mark! I remember checking out Blender a couple years ago when I was first starting out, but found it too daunting. I think I'll give it another try.

That looks really good. Is there any post work on that, or did you just set the light color to a shade of blue for the color cast?

I think you're right, better to focus on data acquisition and storage at this stage. I'm not sure how clear an image a revolving mirror would reflect, especially at slower frame rates. I've thought about prisms to split the light, too, but then you're losing stops. What is the refresh rate limit of the CMOS? Thanks for the ideas MGD!

Thanks, I'll look into those!
At this point, it's probably just going to be stills, but with figures positioned far above the ground, as well.

A fast way of positioning objects against each other very quickly is to check the Collision icon around the top of the screen. You would still have to position each piece manually, but it's a lot faster and you have control a simulation doesn't provide.

I'm doing all my masking manually, without the magic wand tools or anything like that. Since there's going to be a lot of different light intensities between shots, and even within shots, I felt a neutral color would help balance it out a bit, so I don't have to deal so much with glowing edges as with a white background. Does that make sense?

Don't know if you even still visit here, but where did you find that hair? Or did you make it? I can't find Agent style hair ANYWHERE!
