Thread: Urging Developpers to make artists exporting Bryce full Scenes... | Forum: Bryce
Agent Smith is right. It probably will happen sooner or later. (I vote for sooner) Actually, I've built some pretty complex things in Bryce, and mine are junk compared to what aother Brycers have done. I, and I'm sure they, would like to export their Bryce stuff.
And if you want the real reason that Bryce hasn't exported up to this point...if you were Metacreations and you sold Ray Dream as a modelling program, why would anyone buy it if they could make Bryce their modeller? You could at the time model almost anything in Bryce that you could model in Ray Dream and Ray Dream had some pretty annoying bugs that Bryce did not. Heck I did ALL of my rendering in Bryce.

Thread: Hair function in Poser 4!!!!???? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It did change the hair to triangles of varying sizes, but with trans maps, they can made to look real enough. I haven't given up on the FurFur prog, but to be useful, you need a lot of polys in your figure. If I do something useful with it, I'll let you know.

The problem is that the hair only appears between faces. FurFur would be awesome if the hair appeared ON the faces.

I will ignore wyrwulf's comment...or at least try :-) That is amazingly hilarious Jim!! As said above, your attention to detail is incredible. I expect to find it on the shelf of my local Seven Eleven. And litst...your cheese is also amazingly realistic. And your worms are repulsive...or tasty looking if I was shrew or a mole. Threeality
Thread: Plant Studio will make you happy!!!!!!!!!!! | Forum: Bryce
Plant Studio sounds really cool, I'm about to check it out, but I read an interesting review in Bryce... When it got to the part about the Tree Lab he casually commented that "radically altered trees can be made into plants" and he had a sample picture to prove it. Although I don't have B5 yet, I had been thinking along those lines myself. In reality, the Tree Lab probably is not enough, but his picture did get me thinking...
Thread: July VC: How Primitive Can You Be? | Forum: Vue
Fruits of labor is not "good", it is astonishing! It's funny what amazes people in the world of 3D art. I find your peppers and lettuce most stimulating ;-)

The hair might look funny to you in the 'air', but underwater, it looks really good to me. I'd say there's nothing to apologize for. It's a really cool scene.
Thread: Bryce5 vs Vue4? | Forum: Bryce
Actually, one of Bryce's selling points to me was its ability to use Photoshop Plugins. I use Kai Power Tools all the time for textures, etc. On the whole, I'm not really into abstracts so I would have to say they are relatively equal when it comes to realism. So far, no one with Bryce 5 has mentioned how good the plant function works, and there has been no mention of the metaballs modeller. I'm wating to hear. I want to be able to export models, and from the lack of any mention, I have to assume that neither vue nor Bryce can export. Oh well. I'll still probably upgrade both of them.

Thanks, I had to partially render it a number of times at about an hour a pop, to get it to look just right. Thanks for the feedback.
