**Well hmmm .. maybe we can keep this thread going then until hopefully someone comes up with an answer? Does anyone else have this problem? My friend tests her textures herself in Poser .. I don't know if Poser folk have that problem as well? And whatย do they doย about it?ย
It seems to me there are temp files somewhere that need to be deleted but WHERE?

Thread: Cleaning out DAZ cache? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
**I opened DAZ refreshed the page, loaded the base, changed the folder name to test it, loaded the texture ... it still found the texture so I still don't know if the paths are correct or not. It still is seemingly remembering where the texture is :(ย
I just ย removed the texture folder period. It's still loading the texture. There MUST be some way to clear the cache from DAZ. :(
Thank you, prixat for trying, I really do appreciate your taking the time to post up :) Unfortunately this didn't do it but I will use that I'm sure.
BTW ... rebooting and restarting doesn't work :(

Thread: Help with archived files! | Forum: DAZ|Studio
**Usually when you download content and open the zip, it's a Runtime folder you get. Just open your content folder and drop the Runtime folder there. Let it overwrite, that should do it. If that doesn't work, it's always possible that the files were originally placed improperly within that Runtime you downloaded and you'll have to locate them and place them in the proper folder where DAZ is tellingย you it is looking for them.ย

Never mind .. thank you anyway .. I figured it out. Somewhere along the line a folder got a letter added to the end which messed up the path.ย
:D Happy camper now ..ย

Thread: Is there a way to import scenes back and forth between D|S and Poser? | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Ok I have been able to do most of that .. what I want to do is save my scene .. all my work from DAZ ... and then open my POSER (when i reinstall it ) and bring the scene into POSER and do what I need to do in there that I can't do in DAZ and/or vice versa. Is there a way to do that? When I had POSER up .. I wasn't able to but I'm hoping that it's just because I don't know how.

That's great news .. now .. can we get vendors to test their products in DAZ as well? Seems to me they have no idea that they are losing money by not including us DAZ users when they create products specifically for POSER only. I recently bought two products that I later found out were POSER only and do NOT work in DAZ|Studio. My fault obviously for nor reading the read me's first but the Adverts were a bit misleading as well .. it didn't say on the Promo for POSER only .. so now I'm stuck with products I cannot use. While I do have POSER stashed away (purchased and literally gave up trying to learn it) I don't feel that I should be forced to learn it to purchase some of the great products and resources out there. I've heard it said by some vendors that they just don't care about the DAZ users .. those that I've heard that from will obviously not be getting my money even if they DO decide to support DAZ|Studio in the future.
As for the second class feeling .. I've heard other DAZ users say the same thing .. personally I believe that there are folks out there creating better things in DAZ than in POSER, however each program has it's own merits. One day I WILL dig out POSER and learn it but DAZ will always be my first love. :D

Thread: NEW DAZ STUDIO? - DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT! | Forum: DAZ|Studio
I originally had the 1.0 version, but being new to D|S, I was messy (and apparently still am with the new install) I uninstalled but lost the original zip so dl'd the latest, NOT realizing it was newer. Once I installed everything it all seemed to run find, but I get occasional crashes. I can open and save just fine, its the crashes. I have to say and I don't mean this badly, I'm glad it's not just me. I thought i was having PC issues. Glad I peeked in here.
