There are some good suggestions here. How about softening up the light, the hot spot looks a bit harsh. Mushrooms and direct light does not really work. Looks cool though.

Nice models! How about creating a little depth of field in the image? Blur the planet (while retaining a the stars sharp), blur smaller ship slightly and add a bit of motion to the forward ship. Creating a (false)depth of field will make a good image into an excellent image. Mik'

The training video is very informative but I have one complaint about it; the audio sucks. It sounds like the narrator is speaking into tin cans, with a 5 second delay. If you can bear this, I'd say buy it.

Nice speeders, they look great! The only problem I have is the straight horizontal line of the background; organic landscape backgrounds are rarely straight. Other than that, Echo Base is a go! Mike
