The navigation is now working in chrome since i accessed the above http://www.runtimedna.com/forum/forum.php directly.
Prior to that tho.. no navigation in sight and the above nav was pretty buggy until i had clicked on most of the nav links
appreciate the help :-)
Thread: silly question time | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Nope..
No navigation whatsoever is visible.. even once I have logged in
nor can I find any navigation within the store that goes there either
Since you have mentioned it.. went and tried it in a different browser
Seems their site has an aversion to Chrome :-S
Thanks

Thread: Stop expressions removing face morphs P9 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
It didnt matter what order I was applying them in.. one would zero out the other no matter what ..which is a total pita
Thread: Stop expressions removing face morphs P9 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I'm not sure what I was doing wrong.. it wasnt the ground that caught me out.. am used to deselecting that..
no idea what i was messing up lol
I've only just changed over to P9 too and the difference in the interface layout to P7 isnt huge but still takes a bit of getting used to .. things just look 'different'
thanks for the help everyone :-)))

Mark@poser that worked a treat!
I'd been trying to export the head but the instructions in the poser manual are different for exporting to your instructions, and when i was trying to import it back in it kept telling me wrong number of vertices or something along those lines.
Thanks too for the screen shots.. appreciate that.
THANK YOU! my sanity has remained intact (what sanity i have anyhow lol)
and I can now merrily carry on with my picture making :-D
Enjoy your day
Thanks

Yeah i could make a complaint however I'd rather just fix it, so I can use it and get my scene done and rendered.
I left purchase feedback and mentioned this issue .. as others had done on their other v4 expressions that had the same issue.. and moving forward I dont buy any further expressions from the same merchant

@ hborre - doesnt seem to matter what order I do it in
If I apply the expression first and then the character..the character zeros out and remove the expression
If I apply the character and then the expression, the expression removes the character.
@hornet3d.. just going off memory of reading other posts, i think it may have possibly been the same merchant re the poses.
@nekkidchikken - how do I export head as a morph target? Sorry have done a search of the poser reference manual and it has how to spawn a morph target..is that what i am after?
Really dont want to have to mess around with resaving each expression... is something like 100 of them in the pack :-(
Thanks

Is there something I can edit in the character file so as to not remove the expressions if i apply an expression first?.. or does that come back to the expression file again?
I just want to finish the scene im working on, so i can render it lol
Would rather edit the character pose file just once if possible than 20 expressions files :-/
I'm actually surprised it wasnt picked up by rendo marketplace testing re the expression pack. Seems the vendor has a number of expression packs that all do the same thing re removing the character morphs.
Thing is, the expressions themselves are great.
Thanks
Whims :-)

Thread: Totally confused with BB's VSS | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ah ha! Now it's use and purpose is beginning to all make sense :-))))))
I was under the assumption that it contained some new type of new shader node setup (which it does for figure skins etc) .. but that the supplied skin shader itself was also of advantage to the rendered appearance of say a wall... and that I would be using the same template shader setup but with my wall image maps and create a new template for the relevant material zones in the wall prop.
Sorry if what I am saying is confusing... I've mastered it (confusion that is) lolol :-))

Hi everyone, appreciate the replies and sorry for my delayed response I got sidetracked by that strange and intrusive necessity known as sleep lol :-))
Ok.. have pretty much worked out how to create rules etc..
what i am not understanding now..and im also reading the downloadable vssdiscussion.pdf from BB's site..
it says..
Click "Add a Copy Node"
Use pulldown to choose the material you just made. (It will be there.)
Add Rule nodes as needed, and connect them to your new template shader.
Populate the template shader with some shader.
As you add Image_Map nodes to the template, they need to be named correctly.
Hook them where they go. Then click Auto Rename Images (or Image Maps - can't
remember.)
What shader am I meant to be populating the newly created template shader with?
I'm feeling like a total dunce atm, coz I'm obviously missing something here. What is the advantage of going thru all this setup as compared to simply applying the material that is already normally assigned to the wall that I am using.
Does it do something to the material (as it does to say a vicky skin when its applied to give a difference in how it appears when rendered?) or am I having to create some kind of shader first myself to then populate the newly created template...in which case why wouldnt I simply create a shader and save it as a material anyhow?
I'm sorry if i am missing some point or something that should be obvious to me.. :-(
Thread: Totally confused with BB's VSS | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Sorry for the confusion.. its probably due to my confusion lolol ;-)
Well, I was reading that VSS can also be used/applied to other items such as other props, clothing etc.. not just figures.
Atm I have a scene and I was wanting to use VSS with a wall and ground prop and see what the visual difference is to rendering them just with their normal poser mat pose applied.
So.. I've been reading up on using the VSS prop and script and I got as far as above but Im completely lost with Rule Editing and New Shader Zones. (as the wall doesnt have a skin/hair/eyes etc).. but it does have have two material zones rock and stones
Am I making the slightest bit of sense? If not I'll completely understand :-))
Thread: How does "Distribute Vertical and Horizontal Edges and Centers" work? | Forum: Photoshop
I'm still quite possibly not 'getting it' entirely, but at least now am further along than what I was initially lol :-)))))))
Brain is on real go slow atm
Thread: How does "Distribute Vertical and Horizontal Edges and Centers" work? | Forum: Photoshop
I went back and had another play with it. It seems I dont need to link the images.
I wasn't understanding how it works at the time (vacant brain moment! lol)
After much head banging on desk, what I had been missing was that the top or bottom layer needs to be a 'start' point and 'end' point for the distribution, with the other layers between that selected too.
Not sure how I was thinking it worked at the time :-/
Appreciate you having replied, it gave me the needed nudge to go back and have another try with it :-))))
Thread: Terrible Rendering in Photoshop | Forum: Photoshop
NP's, hope it helps at least a bit. It initially did my head in too when I first started using it cause I was so used to Poser render settings :-))))
