Well, two names popped out at me after seeing and reading the description...
Smart, bald and a villian? Lex
Villianous bastard dressed in period looking clothing? Moriarity..or Morry for short.
I like your thinking, but perhaps names that haven't been used as other characters :-)
Edit: New promo image in the works. I made some drastic changes to the original character design and associated maps. Note, that glow is not from a mesh light or conversion to one
Ok...although finding a name that hasn't also been a character is going to be tough. Blomph just doesn't roll off the tongue :)
So I propose Max, or for the TLA people in the crowd M.A.V (Machine Aided Villian)

I'm putting the finishing touches on a new character (skin texture+morph) and for the life of me, I can't think of a proper name. (His working title his 'Edgar' for the time being).
Not much is known of his background story, except that is he is a villanous bastard of a man, augmented with 13 cerebral core modules, and may be teetering farther on the machine side of mankind than the man side.
Anyhow, I thought it might be fun to see what y'all think up. Winning name gets the distinct pleasure of a copy of the completed set, and all incurred bragging rights.
At the present, this is exclusive to the Reality thread, so ya best put in a smart, quick answer!

Quote - Hi all,
Can I open poser and Pose2Lux at the same time?
If I can, when I change something on Poser scene, would Pose2Lux dynamically change or I have to press some button to update the render of Pose2Lux?
Thanks in advance
It won't dynamically change in P2L, so you'd have to close it and then reopen it to catch the changes. Not as bad as it sounds really, just a click of a button (if you have it set up that way).

Quote - I'm off to Ipswich for a barbie - does that count?
No, but it sounds cooler..especially with an accent. :)
Heck, I'm not even going to Iowa...going to Kansas...not much better. Network gaming and movies and food! So take that Spain! Yeah that's it, Kansas! All the cool people are going to be there!
Who am I kidding....it's Kansas :) Still have BBQ though!

Quote - I'm off to Spain on Friday for a bit, so not this weekend. I'll give you a shout when I get back?
Spain? Didn't you just get back from Paris? Obviously I'm in the wrong line of work....course I don't like flying so that may be a bit problematic to be jetsetting.
And saying "I'm off to Iowa this weekend for a bit" just doesn't have that same ring to it. Oh well, least I have BBQ :)
Seriously though, have a good time!

I'll always remember her fondly as she was my 'first' (companion that is!) She was bold, cheeky at times and never afraid to stand up to the Doctor.
The reunion they had with Tennant had me laughing, especially when SJ and Rose started comparing adventures :)

@Robyn: I'll throw in a nag or two as well....maybe a couple pokes? Possibly a prod if I'm feeling cheeky!
Besides, if you don't do what SnarlyGribbly SuuuuuuuuperGenius(tm) does, you may find yourself with random items popping up. Remember who you're dealing with here :)

I played around with an IES generator to make one (candle flame) and I'm more than happy to throw it on the website if anybody wants it.

What I use for mobile broadband is Virgin Mobile broadband to go, they just revamped their plans and for $40 month you get unlimited time/data and no contract (woooo). You can either get a USB style 'dongle' (heh) for around $75 or if you really want to get fancy they have a portable hotspot (or mifi) for $129, with that one you can share your connection with others (if you want).
I use mine mainly for business so I can connect up to our networks when a server cries for help or a user needs some handholding :) and it's worked quite nicely, speeds aren't as fast as home but for what I need it's great. My wife has also 'borrowed' it from time to time so she can do stuff on her netbook at lunch...just wish she'd tell me when she does so I don't go crazy thinking I left it someplace.... (sigh)

Mine came about after a typo in the CompuServ CB chans, I was using Case (From Neuromancer) and people would typo it as Xase, I liked the way it looked and kept it ever since.
FWIW I still pronounce it Case

Quote - > Quote - Most images (even those taken from a camera) are already gamma-corrected. To use those images in a render (as background or texture) the gamma effect has to be reversed
Cameras have not gamma correction, and are made to have a linear response. TV stations correct the gamma at other stage and not at the camera.
I don't know about digital TV, the standards are different.Photographic images also also not linear and much is corrected in the laboratory.
The non linearity of a photograph is not the same as a cathode ray, plasma tubes has other non linearities.
Photographic images are not made to be seen on monitors, are made to be printed, so no cathode ray tube is used and the gamma corrections are very different.(snip)
Ok, I'm a hardware guy not a coder and a lot of the math etc goes WAY over my head, but even I can figure out that in a thread about an external rendering engine and how to export to said engine, you don't threadjack it.
@Kawecki: I know you mean well, but if you want to have a diatribe about GC, please just create a new thread and let BB, ODF and ADP get on with what most of us think is a really cool thing.
Grabbin my popcorn and heading back to the shadows now.....
