G'day Kuper. I indeed tried out the ski-suit from Rena, but I couldn't get it to look anything like a skydiversuit. (allthough it makes a great ski-suit, wd Rena) I gave up my quest to create a decent skydiving render :/ I just dont have the skills ;) Goodluck in your search. May your skies be blue. Zigster

Aside from the really beatifull artwork which is to be seen in the gallery there is also the "lesser" (lack of a better word) artwork in there. There are two kinds of those: Art from people who are working to improve their images. They might not have all the skills down, but they are striving to better themself. The second category is harder to describe without kicking people in the shin. I think you know what i am talking about when I mention the voluptuous-zombie-chracters. When i see an image where you can see that the only dial which is used is the "large"-dial on the chest object I can but shake my head. I call that bay-watch art.

Well, I must say I do agree to an extend with the feller ( not his language). I used to go to rosity and look at the Bryce and Poser galleries. I grew tired of weeding out the gems out of the (in my humble personal opinion) garbage in the Poser one, so i stick with the Bryce gallery and poser hot20's.
Maybe if he had stated his case more eleqently, the thread would have stayed open and a mature discusion could have taken place :)

Thanks Hogwarden for that posts. I must say i have been a bit worried about it. I got Poser4 half a year ago and i am not even close to mastering it, purchasing Poser5 will not be an option for me (/me waves at bankaccount _o/). Tips here on the forum have been immensly valuable, hopefully that doesnt end at the arrival of Poser5. (Though i cant wait untill you poser-gurus start posting P5 art :-) ) Take Care! Zigster

Hi Igohigh, my DZ is in Teuge Holland. This is only my 3rd year as a jumper, 30 jumps. And I agree, the DAZers should spend some time at 12,000 feet. Blue skies to ya! Zigster.

I once had a problem getting the pictures in the galleries. After I had cleared the cache it worked allright again. I do not know if it was coincidental though. Im not really a techie you know :-).
Thread: DOV lense radius | Forum: Bryce
My biggest confusion at the beginning of the radius puzzle was that when you increase the radius, all things out of focus get blurred. I misinterpreted lens radius to be the radius from the arc the lens made to the centre of that arc. Logically the bigger the radius, the smoother (? is that the right expression ?) the curve of the lens the less out-of-focus blur. Seems it doent work that way :-), I now interpret the radius to be the thickness of the lens. I don't know if that is correct but it works for me. cobalt: I usually think along those lines as well, its just in the render i was trying o make I wanted to look like i was shooting a landscape from great hight (like 4000-5000 feet, just before the skydiver has to pull his pilotchute) so in that case the movieset gets a little huge and goes off-budget ;-). Cheers, Zigster.

Thanks for the responses.
My biggest problem didnt seem to be in the lense radius but especially in the distance from the cam to the ground (working on a high altitude picture, focussing on a skydiver). Bringing back the camera to a lower level and scaling my groundplane down (because i want to keep the sense of high altitude) seem to have helped. I was working with the radius in the range of 0,2 to 0,6 so i wasnt that far off :-).
Now to find an suit on which i can texture a skydiversuit :/. Browse ahoy!!!
cheers!!
